The Friday Five

I'm a minimalist when it comes to carrying purses (pockabooks in Bostonian). I like small almost tiny bags. My favorite is this saddlebag which attaches to a belt or belt loop. I don't always carry a purse, usually stuffing the things I need in my jacket pockets. I always get jackets with inside pockets. Five things I carry with me:

1. My phone. If I'm away from home longer than an hour, I transfer home calls to the cell phone.

2. Wallet. A very thin wallet.

3. Business card case. A very easy marketing tool to haul around.

4. Pack of tissues. I'm a mom it's a habit.

5. Eye drops for allergy eyes.

What do you carry in your purse or pockets?

  1. I like the idea of carrying around business cards. But I haven't done it yet! There were a couple of times last week that I wished I had my cards to hand out!

  2. I've been in that position so many times, Jody now I just always carry my cards. You never know who will ask and where the cards end up. Probably best to have them professionally printed, but if you're not sure you need 500 or can't afford the expense, you can easily do them yourself. Avery sells very nice clean edge cards. You can use their templates or use Word or Publisher

  3. I am finally to the stage where I can just carry my stuff and not the whole family's stuff and am loving it. I got a new purse this summer that has a built in wallet zippered pocket that I have come to love. It has 2 outside pockets that I use for my phone and my camera. One other section for my calendar, pens and chap stick.

  4. I'm transitioning from MOM PURSE aka Lord High Keeper of Everything.

I carry my wallet, gum, chapstick, pen, and tissues.

And a host of other things I'm wondering if they are really necessary. :)
