The Friday Five Good Things

Five good things that happened this week.

1..  Saw the cardinal pair at the bird feeder. Good ol' Ma and Dad. They always seem to show up when I need them the most.

2. Received 3 lovely, paper ornaments from the Mail Me Some Art Ornament Exchange.

3. Got to be the taste tester for the Young One as she made cookies and goodies for gifts for her friend and his family.

4. Received a thoughtful card from The Nephew's Wife, The Niece.

5. Himself and I tried the fruitcake I baked. It's filled with raisins, apricots, golden raisins, cherries, and walnuts. Amazing!

    1. It's not a traditional fruitcake. Tastes more like a yellow cake with fruit buried in it.

  2. Always love your Friday five. Seems to put a smile on my face about the time I need one. Your fruitcake looks and sounds better than what they sell in the stores. Since most have citron in it, I don't eat fruitcake. I would try yours, though.

Bet you enjoyed being the taste tester. Guess everything was great, too.

Thanks for sharing these wonderful things that happened this week. I know there was devastation, too, but at least you found some good throughout the week, too.

    1. The Friday Five started out a few years ago as a way to be more positive. There's always a positive to balance a negative.
