The Friday Five Good Things.

Five good things that happened this week.

1.  Had dessert and watched the fireworks from Worcester from The Brother's back deck

2. Binge watched Broadchurch to catch up with the third season Wednesday night on BBC America

3. There's a new bunny visiting the garden. S/he is very little and named Chocolate to keep the food theme going. Cacciatore, Hassenpfeffer, Chip, and Chocolate. Chocolate is very fast, and I haven't been able to get a picture.

4. Prissy's daughter called. I haven't heard from her since Prissy passed away a year ago. We had a very nice chat and plan on meeting for lunch at the end of the month.

5. Bought some flowers and planted them in the garden.

How was your week?

  1. That sounds like a great week. I like Boradchurch. I like David Tennant too. And we didn't see any fireworks this year so I am kind of jealous you got to see those. Do they still shoot them off from the airport? I used to watch them from my parents porch when I was a kid and they did that. Hugs-Erika

    1. The fireworks are shot off at Cristoforo Colombo Park (East Park). The park opens at 4 pm. There are family activities,a concert, and then the fireworks at 9:30 PM though they always seem to start earlier.

We can also see other fireworks off in the distance. We think from Auburn or Oxford.

    1. I love Summer for that reason. Almost like going on island time.

  3. I got to see Broadchurch's first season when Hulu was still showing free shows. I had no idea there was more than one season, though. Gotta LOVE David Tennant. He was the only Dr. Who I ever got into.

I saw fireworks in my neighborhood. I swear they rivaled what I could have seen downtown at the river, and didn't have to fight crowds, bring a chair, and buy drinks there (no food and drinks allowed unless purchase there). I was bombarded with lots of high flying and low booming fireworks for all sides. It was a fun neighborhood evening.

Sounds like your week was full and enjoyable.

    1. Broadchurch just started the 3rd season. I think this will be the last.

The Ninth Doctor was my first doctor, but I fell in love with the Tenth Doctor.

Fireworks for ordinary citizens are illegal in Massachusetts though it doesn't seem to stop people from shooting them off.

    1. So far, the bunnies just seem content with nibbling the long leaf in the lawn.

  5. Sounds like a wonderful week! I always enjoy seeing friends and visiting with family, I've done both of these as well this week. No dessert and fireworks though, which must have been amazing 😀. Although we did have fun at a Blues and Jazz Festival last weekend - there were some awesome musicians and singers. Wishing you a Happy Friday and Weekend! J 😊

    1. I did, but taken through the screen door, the bunny is just a tiny, brown dot in the photo. Look for it in How Does Your Garden Grow?
