How Does Your Garden Grow?

Morning glory leaves wither on the vine after a light frost.

The cardinal hasn't been around much but stopped by at dusk one evening. Hi, Dad!

The bunny hasn't been around much this week either, but he showed up at the same time as the cardinal. I'm ready for my close-up, Ceej.

Another visitor dropped by when we got home with take-out from Star Dumpling.

The weather warmed up this week, and the morning glories went wild behind Ink's garden.

A riot of color in the woods behind the New Girl's House.

Maple leaves look like duck feet.

The Heath asters went to seed and look like fluffy snowballs.

Himself's twig dropped all its leaves.

More color in the woods behind the house.

  1. That bug says something about Star Dumpling, perhaps?

You waited all year for the morning glories, and now look at them. Just in time for more rain and frost. Hope they survive the week ahead. Saw you are in for some nasty weather this week.

    1. Oh no! the bug didn't come from Star Dumpling. He showed up maybe to taste the delicious goodness from the restaurant. Their food is very fresh and is Dimsum not the usual Chinese food fare.

I haven't heard the weather and as long as the nastiness isn't snow, I'll be ok.

  3. Your garden is still looking good, sorry the frost wilted some of the leaves. No frost here yet, but it's cold, wet and blustery - typical Autumn! It's a pity we don't have cardinals here, I would love to see one on my balcony. My mums and the variegated clover are the only plants still going strong there. Hope the week to come will be a good one for you, hugs, Valerie

    1. The male cardinal is very striking with his brilliant red plumage. The female is more sedate, rust almost brown. The cardinal is a year-round bird for us so they will come to the feeder during the Winter, too.

  4. Wow, the morning glories are still going strong despite those frosts - they look stunning! The autumnal trees look wonderful too and you captured some beautiful views and pictures of the feathery and furry visitors that visit your garden 😁. Wishing you a happy new week! J 😊

  5. Your morning glory looks prettier now than before. Its beautiful! Your colors have really come along too. I noticed that yesterday's at my mom's apartment. Her view had some really beautiful colors. ARe you watching Outlander tonight? Or does football take precedence, like in my house. Happy new week. Hugs-Erika

    1. Himself watched the Patriots in the sunroom. Missing Outlander wasn't an option so I went downstairs and watched it.
