How Does Your Garden Grow?

Frosty, cold morning before a nuisance storm. Birdfeeders filled. Check.

Busy highway to and from the birdfeeder.

Icy, slushy mix. The college cancelled classes so Himself had a snow day.

Late in the afternoon, the male cardinal came by. He hung out on the bird feeder for more than a half an hour. I wonder if he got locked out of his nest. =^,.^=

Snow and sleet turned to rain leaving slush ponds in the back yard.

The front walk and driveway were a skating rink. The front stairs are electrified (one of the better home improvement projects we did), so the stairs are ice free and dry. You might slide down the walk, but will have sure footing on the stairs.

How does your garden grow?

  1. Looks similar to here. We got snow and hail today- grey, cloudy weather. Not my cup of coffee. Hugs, Valerie

    1. As my elderly neighbor, Prissy, used to say: Better days are coming.

  2. Electrified stairs! Good idea! We once had a neighbor who electrified his entire driveway! It was a looooong and steep driveway! :)

    1. Oh, that would be so cool! Our driveway is 75 -
100 ft. long. The stairs eat up a ton of electricity when they are on, I can't imagine a driveway.

    1. Hoping all of this rain doesn't freeze. Warmer temps are predicted. An artist friend reported seeing several robins in her yard. That must mean winter is over.

  4. This looks like one of our past winters, but certainly not this year. No ice, very little snow, but lots of wind and bitter cold here. Seems what I miss, you receive!

    1. I hope our snow drifts melt away soon, but not too fast to cause flooding! I hope Mr. Cardinal wasn't in the doghouse all night, too.
