How Does Your Garden Grow?

A Nuthatch uses the morning glory cage to help break a seed

Beggar doesn't want to stay in the Zensical garden

Perfect weather this week

The tulips caught up to the daffodils

The winds died down long enough for the garden flag to be put back out

A little sun blooms in the grass

The snowball bushes erupted in leaves

Leaves on the Japanese maple

The little, red squirrel helps himself to breakfast

A little bit of rain

The cause of my itchy, watery eyes

How does your garden grow?

  1. Spring has not just sprung, but has erupted in your area. Beautiful tulips and daffs.

Remember, don't feed the beggars. It only encourages them (grin).

    1. Yup, one minute everything was bare and brown and the next grass, leaves, and flowers erupted.

  3. it's looking so good CJ. Greening up is my favorite things. Finally. I feel like we are so late this year or maybe this was normal before global temperature increasing, but it is making me happy. Love the fact that even dandelions are back. :) For now. Hugs-Erika

  6. I love garden photos, and you provide for wildlife, too. We don't get nuthatches or red squirrels, and I love seeing them in your pics. I liked having Japanese maples, but we don't have room here. They are gorgeous trees, aren't they! You have a great space!

    1. When we first moved here, 32 years ago, my dad brought us a seedling from the Japanese maple from his yard, the house where I grew up. (Himself grew up next door). So we have a little bit of our old neighborhood and a reminder of my parents.

    2. What a sweet thing! I love having plants from my childhood home. My daylilies especially remind me of home. When we had the Japanese maple I wondered what happened to all the seedlings. It turned out my next-door neighbor was taking them and putting them in her yard and giving them as gifts because the person who had owned the house decades before had said she should feel free roflol She got so mad when I asked her to leave some of them where they were. There were enough to go around, but they weren't fool-proof when transplanted. I'm glad to see yours has done so well :)
