How Does Your Garden Grow?

Clover blossom

Lobelia basket

Just like a chocolate bunny. So cute, I could eat him up.

What are you looking at? I'm taking a bath here!

Lots of blooms on Reggie's morning glories.

Seedum starting to bloom

Heath aster in the meadow

The high heat and humidity made the meadow grow like a jungle

The bees don't seem to mind the overgrowth

Just going about their business.

Heavenly Blue morning glories waiting to bloom

Dido playing peek-a-boo among the leaves of the hydrangea

The hydrangea threw all its energies into making leaves and only one, small clump of blossoms

Change of seasons on the way.

How does your garden grow?

And today, Ma would have been 100 years old. Happy Birthday, Ma!

  3. Ooooo, that bunny pose! What a cutie! And is that a duckling? You have great wildlife-watching options :)

Your flowers are beautiful. We're seeing our trees heading towards Autumn, too. It feels early to me.

    1. The little bird is a male Nuthatch. He looked like a fledgling and seemed fascinated by the water in the watering siphon system Himself came up with to water his plants while we were away. I was worried the little fella was going to get stuck in the bucket, but he held tight to the hose, took a drink, and flew away.

Great photos CJ! Love the little bird taking a bath! So cute! Hi Mr. Bunny! Everything is growing amazing where you are! I have to admit, I've already cut a lot of things back, but they still keep growing! LOL! The leaves are starting to change here too. Have a great sunday!

    1. Everything is overgrown here. I should cut things back, but worried I'd kill the plants.

    2. I cut down my mint like two weeks ago and it's all coming back! I don't think you would kill anything!

    1. I love watching the bunnies. I only see one or two at a time, but I know there must be a lot of bunnies around.

  7. The gardens are looking full of growth but even a little bit tired. All that heat and sun. It's interesting how at this time of the year there are even tinges of yellow in some leaves. And funny how the bunny does look like he was a chocolate mold. Thanks for sharing all these wonderful garden photos. Hugs-Erika

    1. I startled the bunny when I opened the window in the sun room. He stood up and went still as a statue. When he felt the threat was over he sat there and washed his face.

  8. I have NO idea how I missed this post. Lots to look at today, but one thing that struck me was the hydrangea. I've never seen one that had both blue and pink in one blossom. That means you have perfect soil.

Darling bunny, great bird taking a bath, and wonderful morning glories. Looks like the rain did wonders for your beautiful meadow and various gardens, too.

    1. The post went up a little later in the morning. The soil is acidic so the flowers are usually a bright blue. When they fade they turn to a bluish lavender.
