Saturday Afternoon at the Movies

This idea came from a Facebook meme:
Over 10 days, post your 10 all time favorite films. What movie has really made an impact on you or what films can you watch over and over and never tire of? Post either the movie poster, DVD cover or even a screenshot on your timeline. No need to explain.

Only I had a hard time picking out just 10 movies so my favorites over the next few hundred Saturdays 😸 in semi-alphabetical order:me favorite films. 1. And another film I've never heard of! I've bookmarked it for the long, hard days of winter when I might have time to watch some films! Enjoy your day, Valerie

  4. P.S. I didn't realize this was just the trailer. I'm already fuzzy headed from the heat.

    1. The story still holds up well and I like the message of the ending.

  6. Yet another film I've never heard of. What can I say? I live a very uninteresting life.

BTW, when I saw how extreme and deadly heat and humidity we were in for these past four days and again through tomorrow, I thought you must be in hog heaven. I on the other hand (along with the "boys"), intend to stay under the AC and drink lots of fluids. Today's predicted high for Wichita: 102 F and heat index up to 113 F.

    1. Yup, happy dancing! We're supposed to near 100, I don't know what the heat index is supposed to be. Stay cool!

  7. Though most people consider this a science fiction film, for me it's a tragedy. I see it as a reflection on the isolation of modern life. So sad. But a great film.

    1. I find this film uplifting. Even in a large universe, one's life, no matter how small or seemingly insignificant, has purpose.

    1. I'm not sure if it was a remake, but Lily Tomlin was in The Incredible Shrinking Woman. I never saw that one.
