If you think that 28 is Brrr, just wait until Tuesday night. Ugh. And NOAA can't make up its mind what southern CT will get during the day Tuesday. Right now they're saying possible snow showers during a mostly rain event, but no expected accumulations if we do see the white stuff flying around. Double ugh. You just clean up the garden or the yard, and in comes more leaves, either from your own yard, or blown in from someone else's yard.

That branch in the ground is scary and reminds me of what tornadoes do. It froze like that at my place, too, but no leaves in the water. That was a very different and poignant photo.

Your comment on Camp David will be covered later, after Ike is president. At first, he wanted to get rid of the camp as a presidential retreat, then fell in love with it. He thought Roosevelt's choice to call it Shangri-La was too fancy for a farm boy from Kansas, so he renamed it for his grandson. I'm surprised "The Donald" hasn't renamed or tried to rename it Camp Donald!

Ike, Mamie, and Doud are all buried in the Eisenhower complex in Abilene.
