Some images from our weekend home at the Ogunquit Tides. I took a walk down the back of the property to the Ogunquit River.
And some beach roses.
I spied with my little eye
A seashell
On the walk back to meet up with Teague, I tried to take a picture of a bee visiting some pink clover. But she was too busy to pose for a picture
There were some Wild Morning Glories a.k.a Devil’s Weed though I think they are still pretty.
While hanging out at the pool, a crow was flitting from the roof of the main building trying to find a comfy spot. He ended up flying away.
How does your garden grow?
Pretty flowers, especially the Devil's Weed. Lovely area.
ReplyDeleteI love the wild Morning Glories, but they are invasive and choke out other flowers. Another name for them is Bind Weed - CJ
DeleteIt looks like you had great weather to go, and now I know where you went to. I hope you had a wonderful time. And at least you weren't there for the rain yesterday- or I'm guessing you weren't there.
ReplyDeleteYup we were here for the rain and it was chilly. We had 20 minutes of sun late in the afternoon. Because the weather was so crappy, we’ve extended our stay for another day. Hopefully, we’ll be able to get to the beach today - CJ
DeleteMy SunFlowers are growing beautifully! I have one that is so far ahead of the others its crazy... But as time goes by they are catching up... The caterpillars/worms have found the big one and i've had to spray it.. I go out every few days and trim off the dead flowers.. I'm sure the neighbors think i'm nuts and wish i'd just cut down the weeds instead of cultivate them... But in a land of heat and sun and wind and dry these are like roses to me and i enjoy 'taking care of them' though they need no taking care of from me... Love seeing the photos from the vacation house... hope you two are having a great time or had a great time... not sure which.. Hugs! deb
ReplyDeleteStill having a great time. - CJ
DeleteAlways nice to get away!
ReplyDeleteBeats housework - CJ
DeleteSuch a beautiful stroll through nature—beach roses, wild vines, and even a shy bee! I love how you capture life’s quiet beauty. Ogunquit sounds like a magical weekend escape
ReplyDeleteOgunquit in the Native American Abenaki language means “Beautiful place by the sea” - CJ
Deletethecontemplativecat here. My garden has roses and geraniums, a blood orange tree, two lilac bushes and a bunch of flowers and such that I do not know what to call them.
ReplyDeleteSounds so pretty and peaceful - CJ
DeleteLovely photographs.
ReplyDeleteThe garden here could do with a lot more rain!
All the best Jan
We had a rainy day at the beach on Saturday - CJ
DeleteWonderful river-pics! Weather is an up and down here, my bee-flowers struggle to bloom, sadly...
ReplyDeleteI hope the weather improves for you - CJ
DeleteThose are some colorful kayaks. My garden isn't nearly as colorful as the photos you shared from Ogunquit.
ReplyDeleteI thought the kayaks would make a great jigsaw puzzle picture - CJ
