The Friday Five Good Things.

Five good things that happened this week.

1. A. came to cut up and haul the downed branch to the woods. This young man is a godsend.

2. On the way to get my haircut, Pavarotti was singing the Ave Marie on the classical radio station I listen to while driving. That was my dad's signature piece in the church choir. Yes, Dad, I think think your rendition is better.

3. I couldn't find Miss Adventure and was worried she pulled a Houdini again. It took a 45 minutes to find her under the sofa in the sunroom where I looked three times. I think she thought we were playing a game and she kept kept moving.

4. Two Old Ladies on the Road

5. Himself said no good deed goes unpunished. He left the moon roof open so the car wouldn't be so hot when I left for class. Then it rained. He mopped up the water, put a beach towel on seat for me and tuned the radio station to classical music. It's the thought that counts, and he's still a keeper.

How was your week?

  2. That's a super photo of you and Teague. It's nice to see your smiles. And thank goodness the hubby is a keeper and dried out that car for you. and thank goodness Miss Avdnture didn't wander outside again too. My week's been good, but I'm glad it's not 100 degrees any more. Or for the moment.

  3. My poor husband has to listen to me enthisiastically sing ' The Devil Went Down to Georgia' whenever we get it on the radio ... along with miming the fiddle playing.... HA! Love that your dad could sing like that! Amazing!

That was Jinx's MO... If you couldn't find Jinx anywhere look under the couch... it was his safe place... If the house was flooding .... you wouldn't find him up on the windowsill... nooooo you would find him up to his chinnny chin in water ... under the couch.... for the love of cats... lol Hugs! deb

  5. Bad memories. It was around Christmas 1998 - I hate Christmas-music on the radio, so I put in Pavarotti. I was working late and when I finally fell into the bed... Pavarotti kept on singing. Got up, recorder was off, three times I checked - he was in my head.
Your hubby is very sweet :-)
It was a cold week here, other studies and I started training. Result sour muscles. And fK popped in for a cuppa.

  7. Deb had me laughing at Jinks. Squiggles is the same way. Under the couch in the office when anyone comes through the door.

Really great photo of you and Teague. Enjoy your time away.
