How Does Your Garden Grow?

The Advent Tree all filled with ornaments

Garden flags whipping in the wind on Christmas Day

Saturday brought my area 3 to 4 inches of sh Stuff No One Wants otherwise known as snow. Since it was a fluffy type of snow, Himself tried to get Samwise to work, but it wouldn't. Some framus wasn't turning the auger or the pins broke.

Fortunately, A brought his snowblower. He cleared the walk and stairs. Cleaned off the cars and cleared the driveway. He even made a path from the walk to the mailbox.

A. is a godsend. Samwise is a boat anchor.

I hope your weekend was merry and bright.

  2. We had that snow too and we spent Christmas Day cleaning it up. At least it was bitter cold until later in the day. Are you due for ice tonight and tomorrow morning?

    1. Yup, some ice before it turns over to rain. I'm hoping it goes over to rain before the Eldest gets off her shift at the hospital at 11:30 pm 🤞🏼

  3. UGH, we got mostly freezing rain and ice EVERYWHERE! I would have preferred snow to that. I spent yesterday trying to get all of the ice off of my car but the temps are only in the 20's so nothing is going to help melt the ice until it warms up some.

    Your driveway looks good!!

    1. Ugh, the freezing rain is coming this way tonight. I hope that it warms up and changes to rain by the time the Eldest finishes her shift at the hospital

  8. how nice to have someone come blow off that snow! So far no snow this year, heck yeah!!! But a lot of rain and mudslides here in the mountains (not by us).... How does my garden grow? it grows in mounds of pine needles, incense cedar tree seeds and tons of pine cones all. That's about it except for my christmas cactus which sits inside and produced some pretty little blooms a few weeks back. Hope all is well. I just don't get on my laptop much anymore. I really want to change that in the New Year. I miss it even though I'm lazy and just get on my iphone. But...I've done a heck of a lot of hill walking because of m grand dog who got me started. I kept it up until the rain started.

  9. Yeah, white sh** is the correct name for it. ;-) Although this time I didn't get the heavy, wet, cement snow I usually get (due to moisture from Long Island Sound), so it was lighter than usual here. Yay! This morning (Monday) it is foggy, but tonight it will go back down to 23 F. Is it Spring yet?

    1. We got the fluffy snow, too. Sunday night we got sleet and everything froze. Now it's raining. The temps are supposed to drop so everything will freeze again. 173 days until the Summer Solstice
