T Stands for the Teabag Book

While looking for some examples of a pamphlet stitched book for the bookmaking class I am teaching, I came across this fun, teabag - shaped book from a small books exchange. "A Little Book of Tea Quotes Just for You"

Come along inside...
We'll see if tea and buns
can make the world
a better place

Kenneth Graham
Wind in the Willows

We live in stirring times
tea stirring times.

Christopher Isherwood

Tea is drunk
to forget
the din of the world.

T'ien Yiheng

Frog made a fresh pot of tea
He sat down and began a story

Arnold Lobel
Days with Frog and Toad

She talked and talked
and drank
cups and cups of tea.

Margot Peters

"Do you want  your adventure now,"
Peter said casually to John,
"or would you like your tea first?"
Wendy said, "Tea first. Quickly"

J. M. Barrie
Peter Pan

Find yourself a cup;
The teapot is behind you.
Now tell me about
hundreds of things.

Happy Mail

Gorgeous Celtic calligraphy on the envelope adorned with a Western stamp, the happy mail must be from The Mailman, friend and Reggiment 2017 classmate.

I knew something spectacular would be inside the envelope. An awesome poster! Thanks to the mailman.

Inside this tropical thank you note, a colorful note from

the Grand-niece. So cute.

How Does Your Garden Grow?

Purrfect weather

The calm before

the storm

Petunias and Verbena

A monarch butterfly stopped by and posed for me

Morning glories seeded themselves in Ink's garden

A green thing, maybe squash?

Tomatoes with purple basil and eggplant with marigold

Himself planted broccoli, and he doesn't even like it

Peas or beans getting tall. If these are beans I hope they lead to the goose that lays the golden eggs

Take my picture!
Okay, smile.

More hanging plants

A patch of Bluets

Right after I took the Sea of Green. Lawn guy came to mow.

Alpine Bells

The Friday Five Good Things

Image from Pexels.com

Five good things that happened this week.

1.  We chatted with Himself's sister.

2. I saw a butterfly flit through the yard

3. Hung out with my friend, Teague

4. Saw a hummingbird checking out the honeysuckle vine

5. While Teague and I were getting ice cream, a young man noticed my 42 tee-shirt and said, "I have the exact same tee-shirt!"

"Happy Towel Day!"

"Is that today?"

"Yes. Don't panic" (a quote from the book) and we had a good laugh

How was your week?

Whatcha Doin?

The Doctor and I are celebrating Towel Day. Towel Day is a Geek holiday that celebrates The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy author, Douglas Adams.  A towel is significant in the novel as it is used for shelter, warmth, or to lie on while at the beach. Adams’s strongest advice was “Never go anywhere without your towel.”

And as The Tenth Doctor observed, “There’s a lot of things you need to get across this universe. Warp drive… wormhole refractors… You know the thing you need most of all? You need a hand to hold.”

Happy Towel Day!

How Does Your Garden Grow?

Uh oh, what's this?

Timex stops by

to entertain Quill and Calli

A crow or a raven perched on the twig

No, it's not a 2 seater outhouse. It's a little shed

A solar gazing globe for the Zensical garden

I've been trying to get a photo of the lone bumblebee all week. She doesn't like having her picture taken, but I finally caught up with her enjoying the flowers of the Common Bugle.

Hanging basket called Morning Skies

Companion plants to keep bugs away. Marigolds for the tomatoes, Dill, Thyme, and Purple Basil for some other green things.

Plants for some hanging baskets

Petunia and Verbena

The petunia is called Queen of Hearts

New Guinea Impatiens under the Japanese maple

Lily of the Valley. Their fragrance is heavenly

Blossoms on the snowball bushes

Another snowball watches from the window

Another hanging basket. This one called Plum Crazy
