The Friday Five Good Things

Five good things that happened this week.

1. Instead of the usual turkey, I made an Italian Thanksgiving. Home-made ravioli, eggplant Parmigiani, home-made bread, Cannoli Dip, and apple pie (I had to make one concession to tradition)

2.The day after the holiday no cooking and  I re-watched the Downton Abbey movie.

3. A coating of snow that turned to slush.  "A" came to clear the walk, driveway, and the cars.

4. I postponed a visit to Teague, but we had a video chat. Not as good as a real visit, but close

5. A herd of turkeys came through the yard and pecked the seeds out of the gourds and pumpkins

How was your week?

  1. Sounds like a good week, and a good idea for the Thanksgiving Day meal alternative. That snow photo looks cold. And now we have the arctic blast. :-( Is it Spring yet?

  2. You didn't get any snow? We had about 6 inches but further south of us they got more like 10. I bet the no snow made you week fantastic! Are your temperatures cold today? It was -3 when I got up at 7. Brrrr.

    1. We got a dusting of snow and then the storm turned into an ice even for us. Very little snow was great, but I could have done without the ice and now the Antarctic temperatures

  3. When you see the wild turkeys, aren't you glad you didn't eat one of their domesticated cousins?

  5. You made me hungry right away . and all I have salad (from the store - bought it yesterday as I worked at ESE, not at home).
I had a very nice - and also sad - chat with my Alstom-boss.
And yesterday my new colleague said my documents are much better than the ones he usually sees, yippee.
And the food at the Christmas party was so yummy.

  7. Sounds a great week!! A herd of turkeys is much better than a herd of turkey buzzards. Those things are freaky looking! lol
