Dumbo (1941)

This was the first film I ever saw, my great auntie took me to see it for my 4th birthday. Have a great weekend, Valerie
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely memory!

DeleteMy daughter and I were talking about this movie just the other day. It is a great story and the animation is fantastic, but they are so mean to poor Dumbo early on that it always makes me so sad. I know it was the time and a lesson for children, but I guess I am a big softie. Happy Saturday. Enjoy this warmer weather. I'm tryin to get the husband to go out on a snowy owl search down in Salisbury. We'll see if he'll agree. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteIt's still a great lesson for all to remember. You don't need the feather to fly. Good luck with the snowy owl search! Hope you can share on your blog
DeleteYet another film I have never seen. I feel like a troglodyte.
ReplyDeleteNever too late to see it. =^,.^=
DeleteI found it hard to watch...even as a kid I thought it was too sad.
ReplyDeleteAh, but such a satisfying ending.
DeleteAh, now here we differ. Dumbo is one of my least favorite movies of all time. It's not that I think it's a bad movie, but -along with Pinocchio (which is another one everyone else seems to love)- I don't like it the least bit. To each her own ;)

DeleteI loved Dumbo, I think I saw where Disney may be re doing this one
ReplyDeleteI hope they don't decide to do a live action!
DeleteIt's a Disney Tim Burton film starring Colin Farrell, Michael Keaton, Danny DeVito, Eva Green, and Alan Arkin and is scheduled for a 2019 release. I'm thinking I may like this one. Here's a trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ocWpGdITSR4

I like Tim Burton and this has a good cast.
DeleteThis film brings back such happy memories! Thanks CJ!
