The Friday Five Good Things

Five good things that happened this week.

1. Had a visit and lunch out with Teague

2. Had a great time with Nan at the Masscribes workshops: Making paste paper and Book Binding a coptic stitch book.

3. Life in a small town. The annual Santa parade sponsored by the town fire department came by the house. It always sounds like some sort of disaster in town.

4. Still decorating. Put up new curtains in the living room

5. Got the Eldest's gifts wrapped, packed, and taken to the post office

How was your week?

    1. A few years ago, I was having tea with my elderly neighbor, Prissy. I didn't know the Santa parade schedule. Each Sun. before Christmas, the fire department and Santa makes a run around different sections of town. We were sitting having our tea when the sirens started. Prissy was all upset and I ran outside to see what was going on. Then called to her, It's Santa come and wave. So we stood outside and waved as Santa and the fire engines went by. A fun memory

  2. That sounds like my kind of week! I am jealous you had some fun art time. I thought of you this morning as they had a segment on the news about the penguin parade at the Pittsburgh zoo and aquarium and I remember your post when you visited there. Have a great weekend CJ! Hugs-Erika

  3. Our town up north used to have Santa go around the neighborhoods on the firetruck too. It did sound like a major disaster but the kids liked it!

    1. The kids do love it, but it scares the stuffing out of us old folks, if we don't know the schedule :-D

  4. I watched the video before I read your post and wasn't expecting Santa lol! It sounds like you're making steady progress with seasonal to-do activities, and the workshop sounds interesting. I never did put up curtains here, making blinds do, but I'm thinking some day I might.

    1. The fire engines must have been a surprise. These are the first curtains I've bought in close to 20 years. So I thought I'd treat myself.

  5. Noisy, but fun to watch. I miss my small town I grew up in, but my neighborhood feels very small townish.

Hope eldest gets her gifts on time.
