T Stands for the Water Fountain.

The Eldest purchased a water fountain for the kitties. After an initial wariness, Quill took to it. He likes to drink out of the spigot.

Calli took a lot longer to warm up to the idea of drinking from the fountain.

  1. I love the water fountain. What fun! I will, however, resist . . .

  2. Maddie would love that too. I wonder if they make a big one for dogs. Pete would rather stick with the standard old bowl. This is a fun idea for cats, and it's great to see your photos of them using it. Happy T day CJ.

    1. Male cats are prone to crystals in their urine. So the fountain is to encourage drinking. Cats are extremely fussy about fresh water. If the water is not fresh, they won't drink. And by fresh it means the minute the water bowl is refilled and placed on the floor, the water is no longer fresh. This is a survival instinct that kept cats alive in the wild.

  3. That is so cool....I wonder if Jinx would have liked it?? For how he liked a bath and didn't mind sitting next to the tub with the water running i think he might have... Happy T day! Hugs! deb

  4. I have one for my cat too. He used to jump on the sink and 'demand' I turn the tap on to drink. Then I bought the fountain. But he wouldn't drink from it. I nearly sent it back. But then someone told me nit to place it near his eating bowl. Now I have moved the fountain somewhere else, he loves drinking from it. Remember to replace the water regularly and I replace the filter monthly. I bought filters on the internet. Cats are very fussy about their water. (Quite rightly so).
    Happy T-Day,

    1. I heard that about putting cat water near their food. Funny because Ink didn't mind his water and food side by side. The Eldest is in charge of cleaning and filling with fresh water.

    1. There doesn't seem to be much that they don't have for pets

  6. Beanie had one - she wants nothing to do with water fountains. She will only drink out of her blue plastic glass that we keep on the kitchen table but only if we refresh it with cold water from the fridge. After that it's only toilet water she will drink.

    1. The Eldest bought the kitties a fountain a couple of years ago. Nope, didn't fly.

    1. Quill certainly does. I think Calli still prefers to drink out of her dainty bowl

  9. What a fabulous idea for fussy cats. Love this idea. I'm lucky my two aren't that fussy, but love the photos of both casts drinking from it for T this Tuesday, dear CJ.
