1. Started the single page Coptic binding stitch for the Inktober journal
2. Decided to try using a curved needle for the coptic stich binding. Fortunately, the Young One had a curved needle, and it worked so much better than the straight needle.
3. Wild thunderstorms. A power surge occurred and tripped a circuit breaker, but we didn't lose electricity to the entire house
4. Finished binding my Inktober journal
5. At 4am the Young One, finally trapped the mouse that was running around in her room. Took him outside and let him go.
How was your week?
Eeeks. Mice are already coming inside, aren't they? Glad yours was caught and released. Sound like you had a good week CJ. I love your drawing today. Happy October my friend.
ReplyDeleteI thought a little early for the critters to try to get inside. Maybe they know something about the coming Winter that we don't.
DeleteHoping the mouse doesn't remember how he got in... lol My week has been crazy.. Moved into the new house so i'm up to my eyeballs in boxes, boxes and more boxes... Finally had internet installed at new house so here i'am!!! Take care!! Hugs! deb
ReplyDeleteAll the best in your new house.
Delete#! Tell us how you're binding the single pages, please.....I'm always up for a new binding! #2 Yes, a curved needle is soooo much easier! #3 I don't even notice wild thunderstorms anymore....lol. #4 YAY! #5 Been there, done that! Good for the Youngone for taking him outside! :D
ReplyDeleteProcess photos of single page binding is scheduled for Monday 10/4
DeleteThanks! 👍
DeleteSounds like more of a lucky week to me LOL! Glad you did not lose power!
ReplyDeleteKudos to your daughter for trapping and setting the mouse free. I would do the same. :-)
Lucky the mouse found the trap quickly
DeleteLots of crafting this week - perfect! Loving the mouse trap that you created and your young one must be relieved to finally catch the mouse 😁. Wishing you a Happy October and weekend! Hugs Jo x
ReplyDeleteWe were all relieved
DeleteA good week indeed
ReplyDelete😊
DeleteHow nice you got your Inktober journal completed, and just in time, too. Loved the trap you drew. You are SO clever. The young one must be happy the mouse is now outside her room at least. I have one of those curved needles, but because I don't hand sew, have never used it. Glad your daughter came to the rescue.
ReplyDeleteThe trap was from last year's Inktober challenge. And we are both happy the mouse is outside where he belongs.
DeleteForgot to mention, thanks for the tip on the shampoo. I'll look for it if I ever get to Target. Right now, I'm using Pantene, which I know is safe for my eyes.
ReplyDeleteGood to know
DeleteAwwww, such a great page! You are so creative, I love this (and try to learn from you). Great you let the mouse go, too.
ReplyDeleteI had a weird week and will have to make a "care-parcel" for my helper.
Thoughtful of you to make a care-parcel for your helper
DeleteI remember finding out how a curved needle could be used to repair rugs. Eye-opening!
ReplyDeleteThe curved needle is a real game changer
DeleteI do like the trap you've drawn here.
ReplyDeleteSo pleased that the mouse is outside where he belongs!
All the best Jan
We're relieved the mouse is outside where he belongs
DeleteAww, she freed the mouse? How precious!
