Five good things that happened this week.
1. Calli and Quill followed me around after giving me the cold shoulder for being away.
2. As I was going to bed, I realized because of the Labor Day holiday, I didn't have to get up early to put the trash out
3. Himself made mashed potatoes so I could make the topping to a Shepherd's pie (made with lamb otherwise if it's made with beef it's a cottage pie)
4. A friend sent me a link to Bring Magic to Your Art & Life with A Free Taster Event!
5. A beautiful day. I had the sunroom all to myself so watched The Beautiful Game while I had lunch.
How was your week?
Ha ha about the kitty cold shoulder. It brings back memories of my cat Leo. How many days did they give it to you? Sounds like a good week. And Shepard's pie sounds delicious. Did you get rain last night? Kind of grey and blah here right now.
ReplyDeleteCalli forgave me by the following day when I got home. Quill forgave me at bedtime because he wanted a snuggle. We got a good soaker last night. Himself will be happy he doesn't have to water today. Same grey and blah weather.

ReplyDeleteMy SIL makes Shepherd's Pie every Thanksgiving and uses seitan, since 3 of the 4 of us are vegetarians:) It's really quite good.

I never heard of seitan so had to look it up. I always learn interesting things from you. 😊

ReplyDelete*Hub has played lots of golf and he's pretty happy with how he played...(always makes the atmosphere at home happier..lol)
*Daughter gifted me a new coffee mug... (now i have to get rid of one) but it has a black cat and crescent moon on it... I'll have to show it on the blog..
*My SunFlowers are really beautiful right now.. I might deadhead them one more time and then just let them go...
*Quite a few movies coming up this month i'm looking forward to and will go to the movies to see... Conjuring, Downton Abbey.... Nobody i know will go with me but i actually enjoy seeing a movie by myself.. :)
*My Amaryliss are all tucked away in the dark closet and i'm trying to just forget about them until November... I so hope i can get them to rebloom... have not had much luck with that..

DeleteNot being a morning person.....the garbage goes out the night before! So far we haven't had a critter problem but it's only a matter of time....LOL
ReplyDeleteThere's lots of critters here: racoons, skunks, deer, a bobcat was sighted on the other side of town. I'll put the trash out in the morning. I'm up anyway at the crack of stupid to feed the kitties.
