  2. This was interesting. It's also interesting since Lisca mention in Holland yesterday was Sinterklaas. I wonder if those are related to the same thing? It's dark and lightly snowing at my house. :(

    1. I would say yes. In other parts of Germany, December 5 is Krampusnacht when Krampus (Knecht Ruprecht) visit the naughty children. The naughties get a switch and coal in their shoes. If they've been very naughty, Krampus stuffs them in a sack and sometimes eats them!
