The Friday Five Good Things

Five good things that happened this week

1. After attending a wake, we stopped for dinner at Bertucci's. I had Rigatoni Abruzzi, rigatoni and sausage. I love Italian sausage. I usually don't cook sausage at home because The Eldest doesn't like it. When I eat out, I like to order things I don't eat when home. I also had a side of Tums.

2. Eating out means awesome lunch the next day. And Tums for dessert

3. Stopped at the library to re-instate my library card. Had no clue a library card expires after two years until I went online to log in. Celebrated by downloading an e-book.

4. Himself's 5pm - 11 pm class ended early, and he was home by 10 pm. I didn't have to stay up until midnight to wait for him.

5. The Eldest is working at a temporary assignment. The job was supposed to end a week from today, but the assignment has been extended another month. Fingers crossed that she will get an offer for full time employment with benefits.

Throwback Thursday

Sometimes when I look back at my early work, I cringe. Not this time. This sign was one of the very fist things I made. I made it for Himself for his office at school. I liked it then, and I still like it. Forgive the poor photo. I was waiting for Himself to end class so I was loitering outside his office when I got the idea for a Throwback Thursday. The sign is at the top of the office door, way above my eye level. If that wasn't bad enough, the professor in the office across the hall suddenly decided to come out of his office. I snapped my pic and ran away.

Cleaning and Organizing Continues

Himself's Nana's hope chest now doubles as the scrap paper box and cutting station. Hopefully, the closed lid won't become a resting place for junk

The Friday Five Good Things

Five good things that happened this week.

1. Making progress in the studio clean. I actually have space to work.

2. Saw a male cardinal. Spring!

3. Some heavy downpours on Monday and no water in the basement

4. Started binge watching Downton Abbey (free!) on Couchtuner.eu

5. Terminex came to make sure the carpenter ants don't come back. The Terminex dude also looks out for other pests. He noted on the report: No spider activity. Yay!
