How Does Your Garden Grow?

Before a mid-week storm, the bird feeder was like an airport.

First sighting of the cardinal this season

Looks like he's giving a speech. Either that or complaining that there's not enough seed.

Having his snack

White lawn

The mailbox survived the snow, sleet, and icy mess

Crystal trees

Mild temps. brought a mourning dove out to chill.

How does your garden grow?

  1. We have pretty much been having the same kind of weather here that you guys seem to be having this winter. Although, I have not yet seen any cardinals or doves!

I must say that I do like that crystal tree pic.

    Have a great Sunday!!

  3. "Mild" temps? lol, you call that "mild"?! We're having day after day of rain, but our highs this week are in the 50s. The cardinals are such a bright spot, aren't they :)

    1. My folks loved to watch the birds, especially the cardinals so when I see the cardinals, I think of my parents.

  5. My cardinals stay year round. I try to put bird seed out every day, but when we had the snow / freezing rain, I wasn't able to get to it for a few days. We have two more snow / freezing rain storms in the forecast for this coming week. Ugh.

    1. The cardinals winter here year round too, but they sometimes stay hidden for long stretches. Ugh, we have the same weather and the snow total just got upped for my area. Ugh, indeed.

  6. The problem with the snow this winter is that it is so icy. I guess we are going to get some snow tonight, no rain or sleet with it. Oh boy. Should be an interesting drive to work tomorrow only maybe we the traffic will be a little less with the holiday. Hope it was a great weekend. Hugs-Erika

    1. Very Brrrr. Makes me wonder how the mourning dove can just sit in the snow like that without freezing off his tail feathers

  9. You got the amount of snow we are expected to get tonight. This winter just won't quit, will it? Storm after storm after storm. Storm on top of storm.

    1. We are well below average for snowfall totals this Winter. I'm okay with that, but it would be nice for Winter to bid adieu.
