Before a mid-week storm, the bird feeder was like an airport.
First sighting of the cardinal this season
Looks like he's giving a speech. Either that or complaining that there's not enough seed.
Having his snack
White lawn
The mailbox survived the snow, sleet, and icy mess
Crystal trees
Mild temps. brought a mourning dove out to chill.
How does your garden grow?
We have pretty much been having the same kind of weather here that you guys seem to be having this winter. Although, I have not yet seen any cardinals or doves!
ReplyDeleteI must say that I do like that crystal tree pic.
Have a great Sunday!!
Another round predicted this week. Hope this is the last of it.
DeleteYes, me too!!!
DeleteBrrrr! Too much white stuff for me! :-/
ReplyDeleteMe, too
Delete"Mild" temps? lol, you call that "mild"?! We're having day after day of rain, but our highs this week are in the 50s. The cardinals are such a bright spot, aren't they :)
ReplyDeleteMy folks loved to watch the birds, especially the cardinals so when I see the cardinals, I think of my parents.
DeleteIt looks soooooo cold. Wish we had cardinals herd, the bird variety! Valerie
ReplyDeleteIt is sooooo cold. Which is why I was so happy to see your Spring flowers
DeleteMy cardinals stay year round. I try to put bird seed out every day, but when we had the snow / freezing rain, I wasn't able to get to it for a few days. We have two more snow / freezing rain storms in the forecast for this coming week. Ugh.
ReplyDeleteThe cardinals winter here year round too, but they sometimes stay hidden for long stretches. Ugh, we have the same weather and the snow total just got upped for my area. Ugh, indeed.
DeleteThe problem with the snow this winter is that it is so icy. I guess we are going to get some snow tonight, no rain or sleet with it. Oh boy. Should be an interesting drive to work tomorrow only maybe we the traffic will be a little less with the holiday. Hope it was a great weekend. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteOh, that's right. Your school vacation week is next week. You don't get the holiday? Hopefully, you won't get much snow. Stay safe.
Deletewell it looks beautiful - ...but cold! and you got your first cardinal...wish we had them here. Love the color blue on the house .
ReplyDeleteIt's cold though not as cold as the sub-Artic temps from a couple of weeks ago. The house color is Denim Blue by Benjamin Moore
DeleteNice to see your photographs but … very Brrrr!
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Very Brrrr. Makes me wonder how the mourning dove can just sit in the snow like that without freezing off his tail feathers
DeleteYou got the amount of snow we are expected to get tonight. This winter just won't quit, will it? Storm after storm after storm. Storm on top of storm.
ReplyDeleteWe are well below average for snowfall totals this Winter. I'm okay with that, but it would be nice for Winter to bid adieu.
DeleteWe've been having snow and freezing rain. On the weekend rain and then cold again. I don't think Spring is coming early for us CJ! Sorry! LOL! Great pictures!!! So happy your mail box has survived!
ReplyDeleteWe've been having the same weather. I'm happy the mailbox has survived (so far!)
