How Does Your Garden Grow?

Blogger is still uploading multiple images in reverse order. Oh well. The oak tree is still green and has all it's leaves. The oak leaves turn brown and will drop sometime around Thanksgiving.

Bare trees in the woods

The maples have lost their leaves and the Leaf Lady's brilliant red azaleas are gorgeous.

Look at the size of the Heavenly Blue Morning Glory!

The morning glories are enjoying the unseasonably warm temperatures. Just like me

Green things doing well in pots. I have no idea what Himself will do with these as the weather gets colder.

I almost forgot about these Halloween decorations

Misty morning looking down the street.

Out front a tree in the mist, but the photo doesn't quite capture the light.

The petunias are still blooming. Looks like a cold night effected the yellow mums as they are tinged with purple.

How does your garden grow?

Saturday Afternoon at the Movies

This idea came from a Facebook meme:

Over 10 days, post your 10 all time favorite films. What movie has really made an impact on you or what films can you watch over and over and never tire of? Post either the movie poster, DVD cover or even a screenshot on your timeline. No need to explain.

Only I had a hard time picking out just 10 movies so my favorites over the next few hundred Saturdays 😸 in semi-alphabetical order my favorite films. What movie has really made an impact on you or what films can you watch over and over and never tire of? Post either the movie poster, DVD cover or even a screenshot on your timeline. No need to explain.

1. We watched the season 7 finale of The Blacklist. Filming was interrupted by the pandemic. Cast and crew finished the episode in a very clever way.

2. Switched to a new phone service, thanks Andy.

3. Made an easy and delicious sweet potato and carrot soup

4. Showers in the forecast, but still hanging onto Summer in the sun room

5. Happy Mole Day!

T Stands for A Toast to A Son From The House of Frankenstein

To get in the mood for Halloween, a few scenes of eating and drinking from Frankenstein (1931) starring Colin Clive as Henry Frankenstein, Mae Clark as Elizabeth, John Boles as Victor, and Boris Karloff as The Monster.

Henry Frankenstein's fiancée, Elizabeth, and his best friend, Victor talk over coffee. Elizabeth confides that she's worried about Henry.

Henry has a breakdown and is recovering. Elizabeth and Henry have an afternoon tea. Here she passes him a nice cuppa.

On Henry and Elizabeth's wedding day, Henry's father, Baron Frankenstein, has a bottle of wine his parents laid down to be opened when the Baron's son marries. The Baron hopes 30 years from now, Henry will be able to toast his own son on his wedding day with a bottle of wine put specially away for the occasion.

The staff is permitted a glass of champagne as the Baron considered  the special wine would be wasted on them.

Henry recovers after the wedding day went sour. The maids thought he could use a glass of his grandparent's wine.

The Baron thought that was a nice gesture, but decides Henry needs his rest, but he could do with a glass of wine. "A toast to a son from the house of Frankenstein."

Drop by hosts, Bleubeard and Elizabeth’s blog to find out what the rest of the T gang is up to. If you want to play, include a beverage or beverage container in your post. Don’t forget to link your blog from Bleubeard and Elizabeth’s page.
