The Friday Five Good Things

Five good things that happened this week.

1. We watched my favorite movie, The Day The Earth Stood Still (1951)

2. Himself put out some fun Halloween decorations

3. The Eldest treated me to a Starbuck's Chai Tea Latte with a mini scone.

4. One of my students was at a fair, saw a scented candle and thought of me. The candle was called Quill in Ink

5. Lunch with Teague at Dairy Queen. Even though it was chilly outside, I ordered a vanilla frappe (shake). So unlike me to have ice cream when the weather is cold, but it tasted so good. Maybe it was a last hurrah for Summer.

How was your week?

    1. A bit like sandalwood. I like woodsy, spicy scents. I find the florals a bit heavy

    1. The 1951 Day the Earth Stood Still is a sci-fi classic. The story still holds up well though the special effects are cheesy by today's standards. i still love the cheesy special effects. Yes, she gave the candle to me as a gift.

  5. What a super week you had CJ. I don't know if I've ever seen the Day the Earth Stood Still. Hmmm. The name is very familiar. Did you get frost last night? It was cold but I didn't see any at my house. Have a great start to your weekend.

  6. My week has been good ... the plumber came and fixed a leaky pipe ... big thumbs up!
I've also enjoyed a few Autumnal walks, so many acorns this year, I think the squirrels have been in seventh heaven!

I like that candle 'Quill In Ink'

    All the best Jan

    1. Old wives tale about a lot of acorns forecasts bad winter. I hope not. The squirrels have been going crazy here, too.
