Five good things that happened this week.
1. We watched my favorite movie, The Day The Earth Stood Still (1951)
2. Himself put out some fun Halloween decorations
3. The Eldest treated me to a Starbuck's Chai Tea Latte with a mini scone.
4. One of my students was at a fair, saw a scented candle and thought of me. The candle was called Quill in Ink
5. Lunch with Teague at Dairy Queen. Even though it was chilly outside, I ordered a vanilla frappe (shake). So unlike me to have ice cream when the weather is cold, but it tasted so good. Maybe it was a last hurrah for Summer.

DeleteWell Summer is still here...sigh.... and super dry... and i'm so over it... I wanna wear hoodies and sweatshirts and be out in the sun without it feeling like an oven... I've decorated for Halloween but its difficult to get in the mood... I have slipped to 4th place and have to be in top two tomorrow.. i thought this round would be more difficult...lol I'am never doing this again...lol

ReplyDeleteThe 1951 Day the Earth Stood Still is a sci-fi classic. The story still holds up well though the special effects are cheesy by today's standards. i still love the cheesy special effects. Yes, she gave the candle to me as a gift.
