T Stands for Coffee Pod Organizer

Once again it was time to organize the blivet of a pantry because someone (not me) keeps buying stuff without checking the pantry. It's a good price. It was on sale. It was Tuesday. The sky was blue.

The pantry is organized by shelf: jams, water enhancers, condiments, oil. Canned goods. Pasta, canned tomatoes, tomato paste, jars of gravy (pasta sauce). Baking, tea,  snacks, paper goods. On the floor, storage for platters, sports drinks.

When it was all organized, I stepped back to admire my work when I saw I had forgotten the Eldest's coffee pods. There is limited counter space in the kitchen and there was no more shelf space in the pantry.. What to do? What to do?

I ordered an over-the-door shoe organizer. I found one that wasn't too long because the closet is built over the cellar stairs so the floor of the pantry would have interfered with a long shoe organizer.

I found one that was short and not too wide. I'll have to do something about the hooks because the closet door doesn't close all the way. The pockets aren't as deep as I was hoping, but for now it will do.

Drop by hosts, Bleubeard and Elizabeth’s blog to find out what the rest of the T gang is up to. If you want to play, include a beverage or beverage container in your post. Don’t forget to link your blog from Bleubeard and Elizabeth’s page.

  1. Happy TDay! Oh that is a lovely and creative idea for the coffee pods! I love it. I hope one day to have a pantry like yours. It's a great idea to stock up when there are sales. I think I would totally stock up on pasta, dish soap, paper towels, beans and more. :) Have a lovely day and a wonderful rest of the week! :)

  2. Good for you getting your pantry organized. Those shoe holders are super for storing things besides shoes, aren't they? I like how you think when it comes to storing the eldest's coffee pods. :) Happy T day.

  3. How about getting a few Command 'thingies' (you know the ones I mean, the Velcro ones) and put them around the edges on all four sides.(Remove the hooks altogether.)
    Just thinking out loud......

  6. That's a clever idea to get a shoe organizer for the coffee pods. Thankfully in our household I'm the one who buys groceries, so no one else but me stocks the pantry. Happy T day!

  7. What a good idea to store the coffee pods and very visible. I mean you can see clearly which ones you have.
I have a pantry too. A walk-in one with floor to ceiling shelving on one side and a counter (with kitchen equipment I don't use every day, like a juicer and a bread machine) and the dishwasher and the an upright freezer. I love my pantry but every now and then it needs a sort out. I walk into my pantry and see what needs using up and what needs to be replenished etc. Every woman should have one.
    Happy T-Day

  8. I’ve been meaning to buy more non-perishables for my pantry, but at the moment it’s not very fully supplied. Yours looks good.

    1. We try to keep things on hand and use up what we already have. At least, that's what I've been telling Himself
