Himself said he planted in the Winged Pig planter. I asked what did he plant? He said flowers. He planted the Queen of Hearts petunia in the planter. The Winged Pig is now Petunia which is also the name of cartoon Porky Pig's girlfriend.
No Mow May has started. No mowing the lawn the month of May. Dandelions are the first food for bees and other pollinators. This gives them a chance for a food source after a long Winter.
The cardinal pair came to visit. Hi Ma! Hi Dad!. Can you see him? He's on the bottom branch of the tree in the foreground. She was on the ground and feeding while he watched over her.

How does your garden grow?

I love Petunia with a petunia in her. That is one very cool planter. My yard is full of violets too. They really are pretty. Have a wonderful Mother's Day and I hope for some sun. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the pig planter. The sun has been in and out. Enjoy your Mother's Day, too
DeleteSweet that the cardinals come to visit! We get our 'ancestors' in the form of butterflies....🦋🦋
ReplyDeleteI love when Ma and Dad drop by
Deletejust "by chance" that petunia went into the planter named "petunia " !!! ☺☺♥♥
ReplyDeleteHappy accident
DeleteI like Petunia the Winged Pig! She will look very pretty, when her flowers bloom.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see her in full bloom
DeleteI had to laugh at Petunia the pig. Cute. I can do No Mow May in my back yard because it is fenced in. I can't do it in the front, though, or the city will fine me. In Wichita, you MUST keep your yard mowed. Grass can't be over five inches high, or the city will slap a fine on your property. Your only reprieve is if it has rained constantly for five days.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful sunset... and I like Petunia Pig.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
I'm in love with Petunia the Pig...lol :) Cannot wait to see it in full flower... Yeah..... with an HOA like ours this is no going no mow in May..
