How Does Your Garden Grow?
Little flowers
hanging on
inspite of the carpet of leaves
Still
a
riot
of color
The milkweed pods burst
Himself cleaned up his garden
and packed it way in the greenhouse
Most of the trees have lost their leaves
Look at the size of this oak leaf!
The November garden flag
November moon
But the temperatures this weekend are not November temperatures. I'm not complaining. If only temperatures would stay just like this through the Winter.

Fun Facts About the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
This week's fun fact is that Massachusetts has an official Glee Club song.
"The Great State of Massachusetts"
Words by George A. Wells, and music by J. Earl Bley
Adopted on November 24, 1997.
"The Great State of Massachusetts", words by George A. Wells and music by J. Earl Bley, was designated by Mass. Gen. Laws ch. 2, § 43 on November 24, 1997.
I couldn't find a live version of the song or sheet music. Instead, have a listen to the Worcester Polytechnic Institute Glee Club singing "Wake, Freshman, Wake" from the 2011 Alumni Weekend

A Look Back
A look back on this day in 2012. I was participating in the National November Journal Month (create a journal page each day for the month of November) and posting the journal page I had created the day before, 2. November. Little did I know that a year later both my parents would join these family and friends that passed through the veil.
2. November
Halloween, Samhain, All Souls, Day of the Dead are all festivals that honor those that have passed on.
Do Not Stand Over My Grave and Weep by Mary Elizabeth Frye
Do not stand over my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep
I am a thousand winds that blow
I am the diamond glints on snow
I am the sunlight on ripened grain
I am the gentle autumn rain
When you waken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight
I am the soft stars that shine at night
Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there. I did not die

T Stands For Happy Mail
A couple of weeks ago, Deb from Learning 2 Just Breathe posted she had finished a project. She had found some meditating skeletons, painted them, and mounted them on a wooden base. The Zen Skelly could hold a tea candle or it could be used as a brush/pen rest. Deb ended up with a couple of extra Skellys so she offered one to me.
Postal tracking indicated the package would arrive on Halloween, but it arrived on Friday. Purrfect 🐈⬛
Everything packed all nice and neat. Since he was easier to pack and ship separated from his base, that's how he arrived. Deb told me I could glue him to the base and suggested using E6000 glue.
Even though I have the low odor E6000, Skelly Zen is stable with a piece of museum putty stuck to his very flat bottom. I swapped out the tea light for a container that will hold gouache. Skelly fits in with all the other desk buddies and settled right into his job holding pens. I sipped my tea in my Halloween mug and admired how good he looks.
I get enough blank stares around here so I added a pair of baby blue crystals to his eye sockets. So handsome.
Thank you so much, Deb. Skelly Zen is awesome and just makes me smile.
Drop by hosts, Bleubeard and Elizabeth's blog to find out what the rest of the T Stands For gang is up to. If you want to play, include in your Tuesday post a beverage or container for a beverage. Don't forget to link your blog to Bleubeard and Elizabeth's page.
