How Does Your Garden Grow?

The 6 or so inches of snow from last weekend are slowly melting off of the solar panels.

Visitors

The squirrel running from the tree

Rush hour

 Something big this way comes

A little visitor comes to the front door.

A little birdie stopped by, too

 Himself said a cat. I think it's a racoon.

Half of the strand of solar lights decided to sparkle one evening. The lights are haunted.

Waiting for the avalanche to fall and if the weight load gets any heaving, the gutters will come down, too.

Looks like Jack Frost had a rousing game of Tic-Tac-To going. I think Jack had a little too much mead.

How does your garden grow?

  3. My friend from CA called and asked if I'd had snow. I laughed and said we've had record highs this last week. I can't buy moisture, so it looks like you are going to have loads for weeks to come. it's certainly chilly looking outside.

Laughed at the strand of lights, but worry that your avalanche melts before it falls. So glad to see your garden today, though. Mine has finally been put to bed, as you noticed when you visited earlier.

    1. I hope the avalanche melts because if it falls, it will take the gutter with it. Sounds like we're getting some of your record high.Tues. temps are supposed to reach 40 oF (yay!)That should melt all the snow off of the solar array.

  4. Forgot to mention that doesn't look like any cat print I've ever seen. I agree that it's not a cat, and might possibly be a raccoon. Especially the "claws."

    1. That's what I thought. Ink's prints have rounded toes. These are definitely pointy

  5. I went out and cleaned off the dusting we got last night and there were lots of interesting tracks too. But the snow in our yard looks like the snow in mine. It was nice to see the sun, but it was surprisingly cold today. Well, I hate to say the first day of winter is this week but that does mean it's 6 months until summer. happy new week. Hugs-Erika

    1. It's fun to travel but so good to get back to your own bed. Welcome home.

  7. I love all the foot prints! That was fun! Your Jack Frost tic tac toe game was very cute! I have a roof snow shovel. I think that's what it's called? When it gets really heavy, I swing this long pole and take off the extra snow around the gutters! Almost all of our snow melted today! Weird!

    1. We call it a roof rake, and yes, we have one. However, there was the worry that the solar panels could be damaged. We contacted the solar company, and they recommended leaving things alone. the sun would eventually melt the snow from the panels.
