Robby the Robot from Forbidden Planet was supposed to be my assistant. He was supposed to do all the necessary things I didn't want to do (cooking, cleaning, etc.) so I had all the time in the world to create in my studio, take classes, travel.
At first, I thought I wanted a "wife" to do the mundane tasks, but realized the poor wife would need some time off to take care of herself. As a machine, Robby would be perfect for the job. He wouldn't need time off. So, I put him on my vision board in plain sight, and if it's on a vision board it's supposed to happen!
But looks like Robby was auctioned off for a whopping $5Million without my knowledge. Deep sigh. Forlorn look. Guess I'll just have to same my pennies for the next auction.
Hmmm, sorry you didn't get your bid in, better luck next time. Who wouldn't like a robot to take over the unloved chores?! Enjoy your day, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteYeah, better luck next time.
DeleteStill laughing over this one. Better luck at the next auction, dear.
ReplyDeleteDeep sigh.
DeleteI'M laughing at the person who paid FIVE MILLION DOLLARS for Robbie! :-/
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't just Robby for the $5Mil. But his car, an extra head and some other stuff from the movie
DeleteI hope you've got a lot of pennies:)
ReplyDeletethat's what Himself said :-D
DeleteWow. That is one expensive robot. I wonder if he still even works. I'd say save your pennies for a new robot that could probably do more for you anyhow. :) happy Monday. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteIn truth, it wasn't a real robot as the technology wasn't available at that time. It's a suit that some actor had to wear.
DeleteLOL! Very funny! Next time, you will even get a better Robot!!
ReplyDeleteMaybe Gort from The Day the Earth Stood Still, but I'm not sure maid is what he's programmed to do. I can see how he could be useful on some days. =^,.^=
