The Friday Five Good Things

Photo from 21. March 2011
Five good things that happened this week.

1. Awesome lunch (leftovers from TGI Friday) took the sting out of a snowy afternoon

2. Brought the main frame up to the studio

3. A no turned into a blessing in disguise

4. While out running errands, I saw the first robin of the season. Spring has finally arrived. Sort of. It's still a bit like Winter. Cold and wet, just not a lot of shoveling.

5. My grand niece made her grand entrance on 12. April 2018, at 3:18 PM. Everyone doing well.

How was your week?

  1. Sounds like a great week. Robins are mostly winter birds here. Glad to hear the little lady arrived well and healthy. Enjoy your weekend, and hope the weather gets better and better, hugs, Valerie

  2. Congrats on being a great aunt and seeing a robin. I am seeing signs of spring-finally. Maybe after this next round of weather Sunday spring might show up. Happy Friday. Hugs-Erika

    1. I hope so. Cold and wet still feels like Winter with not so much shoveling

  3. Many congratulations, so pleased to hear about your grand niece and everyone is doing well! I was also happy to hear you saw your first robin, let's hope spring is here otherwise you'll be needing more trips out for lunch at TGI to cheer you up, which actually doesn't sound that bad to me ...lol 😉. Wishing you a Happy Friday and Weekend! J 😊 x

    1. I hope Spring has finally arrived. It's been a very long Winter. And I'm always game to go out to lunch.

  4. Yesterday was 89 F here. I went from winter to summer overnight and a record daytime high. Tonight we are headed for another hard freeze AND possible record lows again. Mother nature is truly bipolar this year.

Your great niece was a bit late, but so good she and family are doing well.

You sure know how to pique a person's interest with your cryptic number 3 "good" thing.

Have a super Friday and weekend, too.

    1. We're supposed to warm up, but not that high. And then chilly and rainy. I saw a Facebook meme that had Mother Nature apologizing for a late start. Seems that Father Time was driving and didn't stop to ask for directions.

    1. Sounds like Spring has seen her shadow and is going back into the cave. Blizzards in the mid-West and Sunday for me freezing rain and sleet. Is it July, yet?

  7. I don't know what our poor robins are doing right now. We have a thick layer of snow and ice on the ground now. I've been throwing bird food out our back door. I feel bad for the birds and animals. Congrats on your grand niece! So happy everyone is doing well. Are we aloud to know the name? Or is that private. If it's private, I understand! Big Hugs!

    1. It will be a while before the robins can get at the worms as we had a freezing rain. Good for the worms, I suppose. Her name is Baby G. I don't like using names on the blog unless the person is an artist or writer or has a blog of their own.
