Nothing beats relaxing with a cup of tea except opening up some happy mail. Nan at Artful Journey sent me an Easter Card. Was Easter only last week? Seems like a long time ago. Nan's delicious brush lettering rivals the colorful jelly beans that the headless chickie offered up.
And an adorable card.
The End
Thank you, Nan, and you'll be delighted to know that yours was the only Easter card I received. Easter snuck up so fast on us that neither Himself nor I got cards for each other.

What wonderful happy mail! Nan really captured the happiness of Easter with her bright colours and I'm in awe of the colour shaded calligraphy - amazing 😀. Isn't the card perfect too with the egg painting and yummy jelly bean treats. Thanks for sharing the happiness and wishing you a very Happy T Day! J 😊 x
ReplyDeleteHer work is always so lively.
DeleteYou get a lot of happy mail! That is so exciting. Nan does make some beautiful pieces and her lettering is always pretty exciting. She is good at that, isn't she? I know, it's gotten so cold Easter seems long ago and far away. Hope you have a great T day. Hugs-Erika

DeleteIn reply to your comment on my blog- have used cast iron forever on my stove. Works just fine. You might be thinking of an induction stove- but I believe it works on that too-maybe not- as I don't have one. Erika
ReplyDeleteJust never thought of using cast iron on the glass cook top before
DeleteLovely card. Happy setting. Way to go, Nan!

ReplyDeleteYour mother was a wise and discerning woman
DeleteWhat a wonderful surprise from Nan. I wonder if she laughed - as I did - at your characterization of the "headless chickie." The Bluebell by Crown Staffordshire china is lovely (I was going to ask, but saw that D already did ;-)
ReplyDeleteHappy T-day! Hugs, Eileen
The chick or chickie candy dish just wasn't descriptive enough for me.
DeleteA beautiful card and envelope from a friend. The jelly beans are such a wonderful touch. I love jelly beans.
ReplyDeleteHappy Tea Day,
Kate
I love jelly beans especially the black ones.
DeleteI had planned to be here sooner, but my keyboard had other plans. What a fun card you received. I wish I could find eggs for 25 cents a dozen. Those jelly beans were a hoot, but your awesome tea cup and saucer equaled the beauty of Nan's calligraphy. Thanks for sharing both with us for T this Tuesday.
ReplyDelete25 cents a dozen for eggs would be an awesome score
