The Friday Five Good Things

Five good things that happened this week.

1. I mailed a surprise to the Eldest. I was hoping it would arrive by 1. December. The tracking slip showed an estimated delivery date of 3. December. But the surprise arrived in two days instead of the estimated four days.

2. Went out to dinner and then grocery shopping. Himself knows how to show a girl a good time.

3. Took a trip to the cemetery to place the wreath on my parents' grave.

4. Saw a little, black squirrel run across the road while driving on the way home. Fortunately, the squirrel was fast.

5. Red invited me to her house to watch 3 episodes of Outlander so I could be caught up.

How was your week?

  2. I haven't been sleeping well this week so although I can't complain about the week, I have been tired. Your week sounds great. Grocery shopping and dinner, now that is a good time out. It's always better to have someone to shop with. Hugs-Erika

  4. Congrats on that speedy delivery. Sweet! I've had car trouble and haven't made it to the cemetery yet. Hopefully soon. I have never seen a black squirrel. That'd be exciting! My hubby is home for the day, and we're watching Christmas Story on dvd. Holiday fun :)

    1. We had to get to the cemetery before the snow arrives for good. We were both stunned to see the black squirrel especially running across the road. Talk in town, there's a white squirrel, too. I haven't see that one yet.Be careful you don't poke your eye out! :-D

    2. All we have is the gray squirrels, and they don't come onto the patio much. I'll stick with my cap gun ;)

Grocery shopping and dinner sounds good!

  7. Your week was far more entertaining than mine. I broke my sewing machine today after I tried to take it apart.

    2. I got it back together enough to get my X-mas cards, tip-ins, and gifts that I still need to sew. I lost a very important screw, though,so I'll be replacing it in the new year and giving it an overhaul.

  8. Now that's what I call a good week! The wreath for your parents site is simply lovely.

We do not have black squirrels around my parts, just gray ones. :)

    1. The Veteran's cemetery doesn't allow anything except a simple wreath with one bow. I found the plaid bow at the Christmas Tree Shoppe and thought it looked more festive than the red, flocked bow. I didn't know we have black squirrels either. Rumor around town is there's a white squirrel, too, but I haven't seen that one, either.
