The Friday Five Good Things

Five good things that happened this week.

1. Another enjoyable evening watching seasonal movies. This time: Dracula (1931) starring the incomparable Bela Lugosi.

2. The new front doors should be arriving  around the first of November

3. My favorite clerk, S,  was on the desk at the post office when I brought some cards in to mail. She even hand cancelled all of them

4. Another fun movie: The Creature from the Black Lagoon

5. Himself ordered a chicken, pepper, mushroom pizza from Santorini's in Millbury that turned out to be pretty good. A new to us pizza place.

How was your week?

  1. That Dracula film is a great scary one. One of my favorites. And I also watched all 3 Creature from the Black Lagoon films this week. The first 2 are good, the last one, not. Have you seen the other 2? And your pizza sounds delicious. It's always good to find a new pizza place. Have a great FRiday and enjoy the warm up.

  3. I think all Five Good Thiings would have been found at the Circle S corn maze and Halloween Fun Place last night..
So enjoyed walking through the maze having the girls decide which way to go.. play in a huge tire playground... drag a padded tire waaay up a slide to slide down... You know like the ones you see at faires or carnivals.. Seeing their mom and dad have some fun time to themselves while GrandmaGrandpa watched the kiddos... they don't get much of that.. oh and kettle corn... must count kettle corn...lol I LOVE watching scary movies in October! :) I like to watch my 'go to' Halloween movies... Practical Magic and Hocus Pocus... :) Hugs! deb

  5. I fully support your seasonal movie choices. Dracula (1931) with Bela Lugosi is a timeless classic, and The Creature from the Black Lagoon is pure, campy fun. That is a great way to spend an evening.

    1. I think tonight will be "The Bride of Frankenstein" Himself said he doesn't think he saw it. Shhh, don't tell him we watched it last year

  6. Enjoy your season of 'Halloween' movies.
The pizza topping of chicken, pepper, mushroom 'himself' chose sounds good.

Todays weather (Sunday) in my part of the UK has been extremely wet! The birds who visited the garden looked quite bedraggled.

    All the best Jan

    1. I'm usually traditional mozzarella and tomato based, but the chicken pizza was surprisingly good for a change of pace
