Winged Pig Before
Winged Pig After. I had tried to bring him in but had waited too late. He was welded to the ground. From snow, rain, sleet, freezing, thawing, rinse, lather, a repeat. His nose fell off. However, I never expected him to implode.
A bird visitor left a calling card in the dusting of snow yesterday. (Sat. 1/17)
Followed by a small creature. A cat?
And the Delivery Person.
Ugh
More Ugh overnight. Lots more branches came down.
But the Widowmakers are still hanging in there.
More Ugh predicted for tonight. The snow storm that was too far off the coast and would only bring my area 1 to 3 inches has now tracked closer. Predicted snowfall over night to be 3 to 5 inches. 🤬
How does your garden grow?

I just came in from shoveling out Ugh. And more tonight they say. UGH!!!!!! The tough part is the hubby's back issues and he runs the snowblower. Poor winged pig. :(
ReplyDeleteUGH is right! Poor you and poor hubby.

DeleteOh dear, the poor little winged pig! I think it wanted to escape winter and succeeded. You don't seem to be a big fan of snow either? It varies for me: I really like snow in the garden and I'm happy we have some again this year (there wasn't any last year). Everything looks so much prettier then. (It's slowly melting away here at the moment, though. We'll see if any new snow falls.) I don't like it on the roads and sidewalks – and I don't like it when snowstorms ruin trees either. I'm not familiar with "widowmakers" – are those the branches still half-hanging in the trees? 😱

I could go without seeing snow all year and be very happy. Yes, a widowmaker is a large, broken branch hanging by a thread up in the trees. It's dangerous to walk underneath as the branch may come down.
DeletePoor Winged Pig ...
ReplyDeleteNo snow here just gloomy and grey.
All the best Jan
Gloomy, grey, and more snow here.
DeleteAw :( Poor piggy popped
ReplyDelete😿
DeleteWe got about four inches of snow here in Reading, PA on Saturday night and after we shoved the driveway and cleaned off the cars, we got another inch! GRRRR, winter needs to GO and we are not even halfway through as it is not even February 2nd yet.
