The Friday Five Good Things

Five good things that happened this week.

1. Didn't have to worry about the black ice warning and The Eldest driving home from work late at night as she was at the anime convention in Boston.

2. The Eldest arrived home safe and sound on the train after her anime adventure in Boston over the weekend

3. The Young One hasn't been feeling well for 14 days. Trying not to worry while waiting for test results. Saw the male cardinal at the feeder. Dad stopping by to tell me everything will be alright.

4. The Young One ate a little bit of real food. A scrambled egg and toast. Plain spaghetti with butter and cheese, two small meatballs without gravy, and some ginger ale.

5. Test results for The Young One came back negative. Still don't know why she's feeling blah and still in pain.

How was your week?

  1. There is so many "things" going around making people sick right now.I hope the youngest gets back on her feet soon. I had gastroenteritis once (viral) and it took me almost 2 weeks to start eating again. It was horrible. As long as it nothing too serious-keeping my fingers crossed.

    1. It's just frustrating because even though all tests came back negative, she's still feeling blah, not eating much and still has pain

  2. Bleubeard and Elizabeth, just in case you visit, I couldn't leave a comment on your blog. Loved your Santorini pages. All that blue. I once saw a documentary that claimed the volcanic eruption that sank part of the island was the lost city of Atlantis.

  3. CJ; could be the flu or whatever everyone's calling it; we've had people here out on sick leave for the same time frame; and it seems to hit everyone regardless of age or whether they had the "does not work"....flu shot...hope everyone's weekend is a good one ♥♥

  5. My blog is on meltdown. I got to your blog from Sandra's and Sandra's blog from Valerie. Right now I'm a mess, but I am SO grateful you visited.

If you scroll to the VERY top of the page when you get to comments, the word "comments" should underline. Since you've already given me permission, I'm going to add your name to my left sidebar.

  7. I am so sorry the young one is still feeling horrible and in pain. I pray you find out something soon! It was like me finding out about the Chicory root. I can't explain how good I feel now. Big Hugs!

    1. Thank you, Stacy. Hopefully, we'll get some answers after the CAT scan on Thursday. Not knowing and not being able to do something to alleviate pain is frustrating. Glad to hear you're feeling better.
