How Does Your Garden Grow?

The bitter cold didn't keep visitors away from the front bird feeder.

Little racoon hands?

Prints leading a path under the sun room.

Visitors stopped by the back bird feeder

Lots of visitors

The Western solar array covered with snow. No electricity for you

Coming back from the mailbox, I startled the bunny (I suspect the owner of the prints leading under the sun room)

while trying to get a picture of the haunted solar lights. And note, it's well past 5 pm, but relatively light outside.

How does your garden grow?

  1. Great mix of photos. Do you have deer come and eat your bird feeder seed? I do. It's bad enough having the squirrels eat it: I'm putting it there for the birds. :-) I don't think the raccoons in my area eat the bird feeder food, which is odd, since they seem to scavenge anything. But I haven't seen their foot prints in the snow under my bird feeder: only deer foot prints.

    1. We have deer in the area, but I've never seen their footprints by the bird feeders.

  2. Brrrr - it looks so cold! I loved seeing all the visitor prints in the snow 😁. We have had cold temperatures here too so our bird feeders have been busy too. Happy weekend! J 😊 x

  3. Wow, you have far more critters than I. The most I might see are a few robins. Lucky you, dear.

    1. It helps to live in a rural area that is heavily wooded.

  6. Our highs this week are predicted to be in the 70s, so our garden thinks it's spring lol Your snow is beautiful, and the critter footprints such a treat!

  7. Love the pics! Seems the only paw prints we see in our yard as of late is the orange stray kitty we have been feeding for a couple of months now.

    Have a great Sunday!!!

  8. Your photos remind me of up here where I live - nice to get a peek of your area. We have a family of raccoons that come up on our deck not every night but several times a week. We feed a few feral cats and the raccoons know that there are usually leftovers. They are so bold. We can sit at our kitchen table and look at them out the big window as they climb up and sit on a table I leave right outside the window with dry cat food. They don't mind a bit that we watch them and enjoy their antics.

    1. Raccoons are very clever. Trash has to be kept locked or they'll find a way to get the lid open.

    2. haha, yeah we learned that quickly when we moved to the mountains. They have clever ways too -

  9. The days have gotten so much longer-well maybe I am exaggerating but I love it so I will take any more light. And I like this little bit warmer weather-ok so it isn't that warm but it is way better than 0. Hope it was a good weekend. Are you watching the game? Hugs-Erika

    1. You're not exaggerating. It's not getting dark at 3:30 any more and even 30 oF feels warmer than the Polar Vortex. Himself watched the game. I checked the score every now and then as these championship games are too intense for me.
