The Friday Five Good Things

Five good things that happened this week.

1. I test drove the new electric skillet and made chicken and dumplings

2. When the Young One was little, she would chant "C'mon traffic light" when we were stopped at a red light and the light would change to green. We told her she had special powers. This past week Himself and I were on our way home and I wanted to get home quickly. As we approached red lights I began chanting, "C'mon traffic light" and the light would change to green. Now we know where the Young One got her powers from.

3. Items I had ordered arrived a day early.

4. Since Thursday was the Thanksgiving holiday, there was no play day with Teague. We chatted on the phone instead.

5. We took a trip to the cemetery to bring the Christmas wreath. I even remembered to leave some sunflower seeds so the Weebles would know I had visited. We got there and back before all the holiday traffic.

How was your week?

  1. You're so good, finding five different good things every week. Mine would be the same five, I'm sure. (Must try harder!)

    1. The more your practice the easier it gets to remember things. I also try to record my good thing at night before going to bed. Sometimes it's hard remembering what I did if I let the whole week go

  2. Beautiful wreath. Could you send over some of the chicken and dumplings? It's been years since I've had that!

    1. Start chanting "C'mon traffic light" The more you do it, the more you build your power

  4. Friends hosted Thanksgiving, so no cooking or cleaning for me! And today is a bonus day off work, so all in all a decent end to the week. Hope you had a good Turkey Day

  5. Busy busy! As you can imagine... Thanksgiving was lovely if not chaotic... I couldn't have them over for some pre Holiday baking etc... so i made good use of them on Thursday... lol They helped me make crescent rolls and put out the olives and pickles in their little dishes... :) The day prior i requested they make turkeys for decorations... they brought tons of turkeys and taped them on the front of my island in the kitchen.. I miss my electric skillet... i had an old one... you know i think my Mom passed it down to me... and in one of our moves i think i let it go in trying to downsize for the move.. Your making me seriously consider getting one again.. Hugs! deb
