Five good things that happened this week.
1. With the veil thin last week, I had a very vivid dream where I was holding and petting Ink.
2. Attended a gender reveal party at The Nephew and his wife's new house.
3. Got a pair of blue suede shoes
4. So happy I made the cappellini. Trying to convince Himself we should have those for Thanksgiving dinner instead of boring turkey.
5. Received some happy mail
How was your week?
I've never been to a gender reveal party. Things have changed since I had a baby. At least now people can make more choices. :) Would love to see those blue suede shoes. If nothing else not knowing how they look it has a song going on in my head. :) Yup, this wind is brutal. The leaves are swirling and we had a few flurries. But since you had a dusting the other day flurries are probably just nothing. I can relate to your feeling about closing up your sunroom. The plastic goes on the screen porch tomorrow. :( It's the hardest part of winter coming for me-and then the wait until I can open it up and use it again seems soooo long. Happy Friday. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteGender reveal is the new thing with the young people now. So different from when I was expecting. Cheer up! Only a mere 222 days until the first day of Summer. You might even be able to oepn up the screen porch before then. Fingers crossed for a mild winter.
DeleteI've never heard of a gender reveal party before. Didn't Elvis sing about blue suede shoes? Have fun wearing yours. I think I would choose compelling, too! Had a lot of appointments last week, which ate up my time. Have a great weekend, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteThe reveal parties seem to be very popular. More about it in a couple of Tuesdays. :-D Yup, don't step on my blue suede shoes. And the cappellini are compelling.
DeleteMy spell checker changed cappellini to compelling, sorry!
ReplyDeleteHad I not read the comments, I would not have known what a gender reveal party was. So glad you and Erika clued me in. Sounds like you really DID have a good week. Just don't wear those shoes in rain and snow!
ReplyDeleteThe shoes are called All Weather Mocs from Lands End. perfect for rain, snow, and sleet
DeleteEveryone else is commenting on your shoes and the reveal party....I fixated on your dream! What a lovely way to reconnect with Ink! ♥
ReplyDeleteThat dream was so real. The weight and warmth of him. His soft fur. Weird what your mind can recreate.
DeleteSorry I'm so late visiting, time ran away with me this weekend ...lol 😉. Your week sounds great and what fun the party must have been. I love your blue suede shoes and I'm going to be singing that song all day now ...lol 😀. Wishing you a happy new week! J 😊
ReplyDeleteIt's not late, just prolonging the celebration. Glad I gave you an earworm :-D
DeleteI really like your blue suede shoes!! Yes to the cappellini!!!
ReplyDeleteI've had these shoes in other colors in the past. The blue ones aren't as sturdy as the others. Hopefully, they'll last the season
