T Stands for Pretty in Pink

The Eldest liked the fingerless gloves I had made for myself and asked if I could make a pair for her. I had a gift card for Panera so suggested on her day off from work, we could go to Michael's to pick out her yarn and then go to lunch at Panera.

For our drinks, we had our usual. Iced tea with lemon for me and Prickly Pear Hibiscus Fresca for her.

We each got the You Pick Two. Soup and half a sandwich. We both had the Autumn Squash Soup. I had the Roasted Turkey Cranberry flatbread with chips (crisps). She had Chipotle Chicken Avocado Melt and an apple.

She chose a variegated, medium weight yarn. The color is called Peony. I spent the rest of the afternoon crocheting the mitts for her. She really liked them.

Drop by hosts, Bleubeard and Elizabeth's blog to find out what the rest of the T Stands For gang is up to. If you want to play, include in your Tuesday post a beverage or container for a beverage. Don't forget to link your blog to Bleubeard and Elizabeth's page.

    1. The mitts are real easy to whip up. Just a couple of hours in front of the tv. They work in a spiral so no sewing

  2. Those mitts are wonderful and she chose such a great yarn! I'm so hungry now after reading your post ...lol 😉. Penera Bread is one of my favourite places to eat and your food looks so delicious! Now I'm dreaming of Prickly Pear Hibiscus Fresca, Autumn Squash Soup, Roasted Turkey Cranberry flatbread with chips (crisps), and Chipotle Chicken Avocado Melt - yum! I'll pass on the apple though ...lol 😉. Wishing you a very Happy T Day! J 😊

    1. None of the breads are gluten free, but they do offer some gluten free options. Here's an article from their site on avoiding gluten: https://www.panerabread.com/en-us/articles/avoiding-gluten.html

  4. That is the same tea I had at Panera the other day-the prickly pear. It was quite good and I will get again whenever I go back. You fingerless gloves look great and I will say I use the pair I have all the time. Your daughter will loves hers. Great yarn color she picked out. Have a great T day CJ. Hugs-Erika (BY the way- we got an inch of snow last night. Did you? Ugh is all I can say.)

    1. Yup, she loves them. She's been using them driving around and maybe at work. She said the office is very cold. Pink is her color. And no, we didn't get that much snow. A few flurries is all. That's more than enough for me!

    1. the pattern I used can be found here: http://www.hellospeckless.com/peasy-gloves-crochet-pattern/

Very easy. No increases. Worked in the round so no sewing. the only thing different I did was when working the cuff area (after round 8), I crocheted in the back loops so it gave a sort of horizontal ribbed effect

  12. You and Erika must have been channeling each other at Panera. They are such a great place to eat. Your soup looks fabulous and those drinks, including your iced tea, look so homemade.

LOVE those fingerless gloves. They must work because it appears your daughter loves them. And of course, they are so pink, pink, pink.

Thanks for sharing your fingerless gloves and your trip to Panera with us for T this Tuesday.

  14. The thing that's wrong about fingerless gloves is that it's the fingers that freeze first and worst! lol. The gloves are lovely though, I must admit. I like the color daughter chose.

I wish we had the Panera chain in Mexico. I really enjoy their food and the wonderful breads. You choices look delicious, CJ.

    Happy T-day! Hugs, Eileen

    1. I have Reynaud's Syndrome. My hands are always cold. I wear fingerless gloves indoors during the cold weather. At first I thought my fingers would stay cold, but with the gloves, they warm up quickly.
