T Stands for Alice in Wonderland Themed Wedding

I schedule most of my blog posts ahead of time. Sunday is usually the day I work on the blog. So while trying to think of what I could write for a T Day post, I took a look at the blog, Cake Wreck's. During the week, Jenn shows cakes that go horribly wrong from professional bakers (mostly grocery store chains). On Sundays, she showcases really gorgeous cakes.

This Alice in Wonderland cake just floored me. I thought it would be perfect for the Tuesday tea party. The Alice blue layers remind me of Wedgewood. Stunning.

Jenn didn't have the name of the baker, but this cake was a center piece for an Alice and Wonderland themed wedding. She did have a link for the photographer's blog, and you can read about his experience as he captured the magical Alice and Wonderland wedding at Arnos Mano Hotel Bristol

Drop by hosts, Bleubeard and Elizabeth's blog to find out what the rest of the T Stands For gang is up to. If you want to play, include in your Tuesday post a beverage or container for a beverage. Don't forget to link your blog to Bleubeard and Elizabeth's page.

  1. That's a fantastic cake, what a great idea. I got married twice, but neither time did we have a cake 😥. Still, married is married! Happy T Day, Valerie

    1. My mother said when she got married, she didn't have a tiered wedding cake. When I got married, my wedding cake was a sheet cake, boxed and given to wedding guests as a favor. Weddings and especially cakes have gotten so elaborate now. As you said, married is still married.

  3. Wow thanks for sharing this amazing cake!! It is just stunning-too pretty to cut into I love those panels and the tea cup on top.
I watch allot of food network shows when there is nothing else on-and some of those cakes are pretty good-but nothing as awesome as this one. Happy T hugs Kathy

    1. Almost too pretty to eat. I think this is one of the most spectacular cakes I've seen. From the photographer's site, it looked like a pretty awesome wedding, too.

  5. I was blown away by that incredible Alice in Wonderland cake. I adore it. The tea cup on top is perfect for T day, too.

I also schedule posts ahead of time, but this week I didn't because I had to make something heart appropriate and find RO!'s gift she sent. Yours came later, so I knew where it was. I finished right before T time this week. Again, thank you beyond belief for the rat card and the stamps. Thanks, too, for sharing this cake with the tea cup with us for T this Tuesday, dear CJ.

  7. We had the traditional white tiered cake at my wedding. This gorgeous cake would be so much fun. Maybe I should look at birthday cakes with a new eye? Opportunities ahead!

    Happy T Tuesday!

  8. that cake is a work of art; I wouldn't have wanted to
cut into it. The wedding HAD to have cost a small fortune; best wishes to the couple ~~~~ !!

I liked the color of the blue on the bridesmaid's dresses !! :)

  11. That is a gorgeous cake. And I agree with you about that blue color. The tea cup on top is lovely. Happy T-Day!

The weather looks dicey Wed night into Thur morning: we're forecast to get freezing rain. And thankfully the 1" to 2" of precipitation that's coming will fall as rain, otherwise it would've been 10" to 20" of snow. Ugh. Sunday looks questionable though. Is it Spring yet?

P.S. Your comment about the rodent reminded me how a few years ago, the CT State Police issued an arrest warrant for Chuckles, for giving a false Ground Hog Day report of an early Spring, shortly after which we got a big snow storm. It was pretty funny (the joke about the arrest warrant) and was done in fun.

    1. Not looking forward to Thurs. We’re in for a couple of inches of snow, changing to sleety mix, changing to snow. Might end as a mix or light snow. The police should issue the arrest warrant now.

    1. If I shelled out as much as I think that cake cost, I'd be really upset if people didn't eat it. 😺

  13. That cake is gorgeous and it really is just like Wedgewood China, so intricate, my DIL asked me to help her years ago to make a Thomas the tank engine cake for our GS, it looked like it had been in a train crash, we had a laugh but ended up buying one!
    Have a great week

  14. I clicked on the photographer's link and got sucked down the rabbit hole, just like Alice. OMGosh, I couldn't believe the extravagant fun that went into creating that wedding reception. Fun for kids of all ages. My favorite photo - beside the amazing Alice tea party cake with the perfect tea cup for our t-party - were the two of the newlyweds walking together down a lane, which I hope was their yellow brick road.

    Belated Happy T-day! Eileen xx

  15. What a gorgeous cake. I love the cup on the top. I went onto the site and looked at all the wedding photos. What fun. I used to live in Bristol and actually know that hotel. I used to drive past it weekly.
    Have a lovely weekend,
(It's too late to say 'Happy T-Day')
    Hugs,
