Yes! Funny one: My Dad was - amongst other (to not say confusing things) a goldsmith. He had cutlery for my Brother and me. He engraved his with his letters, "HK". Mine was blank cause... I will marry - I will loose that name! I am married, but I kept my name, "IK" would´ve been nice. (It´s stored at my Brother´s place, who needs golden cutlery?! Oh, Dad...)
