Only I had a hard time picking out just 10 movies so my favorites over the next few hundred Saturdays 😸 in semi-alphabetical order:
No Way Out (1950), Richard 😻 Widmark, Sidney Poitier
Richard Widmark salutes legendary Actor Sidney Poitier at the 20th AFI Life Achievement Award: A Tribute To Sidney Poitier (1992).
If you haven't seen this movie, it's available for rent on YouTube. You might be able to find it for free there, too.
Now, will you be surprised if I say I don't know this one either? Probably not! Have a great Saturday! Valerie
ReplyDeleteNo surprise, but you did hear of last week's movie ☺
DeleteI've never seen this but it sounds like a good movie.
ReplyDeleteDon't miss it, if you get a chance to see it.
DeleteI do not know this film at all. Not even a clue what it is about until I watched the trailer. Now I have learned 3 new things already this morning. Happy start of February. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteAnd happier because we didn't get snow.
DeleteI have not heard of this one-Happy Saturday and weekend hugs Kathy
ReplyDeleteIt’s very gritty
DeleteI don't think Richard Widmark gets the recognition he deserves. He was an astounding actor.
ReplyDelete😻 He’s my all time favorite actor., and I totally agree with you
DeleteHow have I missed this?! Linda Darnell is always worth watching, and of course the rest of the cast ain't bad either ;) I'll look for it, thanks!
ReplyDeleteIt was recently on TCM so you might be able to hop on over and watch it there.
Deletewow haven't seen this one but what popped up in my mind when I did see what you posted was one of my favorite all time movies, "Wait Until Dark" ..I loved that one and I think I'll go see if it is anywhere on the internet to watch. Happy Saturday - and hope you enjoy your superbowl tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteThe snacks should be good. 😉
Deleteour snacks were good and even though i'm not a football fan i was glad the chiefs won - my family - not so much.
DeleteWhat a movie it must have been at its time! And now.
ReplyDeleteYup, still relevant for today's world
DeleteI thought of another film with the same title that was about a spy embedded in the CIA or maybe State Dept. Sure had me fooled, because I've not heard of this one.
ReplyDeleteFinally opened the darling card you sent. LOVED your rat drawing. It is quite adorable. But you didn't have to send those stamps. I'm truly grateful, though because I can enjoy the art around the page, too. Thank you beyond belief, dear. I am more than grateful.
I knew you would like the stamps and the edging around the stamp sheet would be upcycled into your art instead of going to the recycle bin. Enjoy!
DeleteNot one that I know …
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
It's an old one.
