After a doctor appointment, we decided to stop and have lunch at the 99 Restaurant, one of our favorite chains. We had been there the week before and the restaurant was offering a Lobster Fest, either Lobster Mac n' Cheese or a Lobster Casserole.
Since I had the excellent Lobster Casserole, I was thinking of getting either salmon or Sweet Potato Encrusted Haddock, when the waitress said, "Did you hear that the Hot Buttered Colossal Lobster Roll is back on the menu"
Say no more! Summah Time!
For my beverage, I had the Bubble Green Tea (peach green tea with a splash of orange juice and mango flavored pearls). Himself had a Pepsi. We also had a bowl of popcorn. Eaten before a picture was taken.
We decided to make our meal a 3 course meal. Add soup, salad, and get a petite dessert. I chose Seafood chowder and Himself got a salad with ranch dressing.
Oh, we also ordered the Short Rib Flat Bread. From their description: Crisp flatbread glazed with red pepper pesto topped with caramelized onions, braised short ribs, mushrooms and mozzarella and provolone cheeses. Delicious!
Himself likes the Smothered Sirloin Tips, mashed potatoes and Cole slaw. Don't eat!
I ordered the Hot Buttered Colossal Lobster Roll with fries, cole slaw, and a side of Summah sunshine. Oh, wait. That's a cup of drawn butter. Is it July, yet?
I forgot to take pictures of the desserts. Himself had the Peanut Butter Petite Treat (picture from the 99 Restaurant Menu). I had the Caramel Apple Cheesecake. Scrumptious!

It's nearly bedtime for me, and now I'm STARVING. These are the most appetizing meals. I'm super impressed and want a salad (not fond of chowder) or some other soup, the flat bread, and the lobster roll, something I've never had. Your Bubble Green Tea sounds very nice, too, although I'm not into cold drinks at the moment. However, since you are wishing for summer, it's the perfect addition to your summertime meal this T Tuesday. Thanks for sharing and NO thanks for making me so hungry (grin).
ReplyDeleteSorry about making you hungry.😺
DeleteAll that food looks and sounds very delicious, yummy, I want some NOW! That was a great place to visit! Happy T Day, Valerie
ReplyDeleteIt's one of our favorite restaurants. Good food, generous servings, and good prices.
DeleteWow, what a fabulous meal you had! I'd love to join you and I'm now so hungry ...lol 😉 ... that lobster roll looked so delicious 😀. Happy T Day! Hugs, Jo x
ReplyDeleteTheir lobster rolls are one of the best. This one is stuffed with just lobster meat. No mayonnaise and no salad stuff.
DeleteOh wow your meal looks so delicious, especially that dessert, scrummy.
ReplyDeleteI’m not a lobster fan I much prefer shrimp or crab, especially Boudins shrimp sandwich,.
Happy T day, Jan x
The food at the 99 is good. Shrimp is on the menu. I don't remember if there is crab
DeleteYummy.

DeleteI didn't know those lobstah rolls were back. Oh yes, that is such a good sign. You know me, I am a lobstah roll girl too. Next trip to the 99-our favorite chain also- I will have to get one. Have a super T day and hope it is more summery in MA than it is in NH. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteI think the lobster rolls are part of the Valentine Day/Lobster Fest. I think it ends this weekend. So better hurry over to 99

Lobster rolls are Summer in a bun
DeleteThat is the best advert the restaurant could have. The food looks so lovely and just reading about it makes me hungry (and we have had supper already).
ReplyDeleteHappy T-Day,
Huges,
Lisca
It's a nice, homey restaurant
DeleteOh the Bubble Green Tea sounds wonderful and the dessert looks scrumptious.
ReplyDeleteI love Bubble tea and dessert is always the best part of the meal
DeleteMy mouth was watering reading this post and seeing the photos. I have got to get to a 99 Restaurant near me! I hope the weather cooperates for us later this week. Then Valentine's Day looks dry but very cold. Ugh. Happy T-Day! (And I loved your cow flying by comment on my blog and in your email reply to me.)
ReplyDeleteWednesday is supposed to be the pick day of the week.
DeleteSuch a shame I rarely can have seafood. No, wrong. I cannot have seafood. Fish is all I get down (I made fish-fingers on Sunday, does that count?).
ReplyDeleteSweets are out of the question, too. "Brrrr" - it´s the genes, neither, not Dad nor Mum liked sweets.
So. I´m totally cool (that Pizza looks yummy, though? Seafood? Then I´m out).
Do fish have fingers? 😉
DeleteWhat a fabulous meal, CJ, especially in the wintertime. You really made me hungry!
ReplyDeleteHappy T-day! Eileen xx
It was wonderful to eat and dream about Summer weather

ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
