T Stands for The Moms Breakfast Club

A couple of times a year, I get together with two friends for breakfast. I met these women when The Young One and their daughters were in elementary school.

Now that the girls are all grown up, we still get together, catch up with what everyone is doing, laugh, cry. It's great therapy and cheaper than seeing a real therapist.

Last Saturday, we met at Breakfast at Stephanie's,  little, hole-in-the-wall breakfast place in Upton, Massachusetts.  This was the second time we had breakfast here.  The food is really good, the place popular. The only downside is the parking lot is the size of a postage stamp. I got the last parking spot at the restaurant. Since the Senior Center across the street was closed, my friends parked over there.

D. always gets pancakes so ordered plain, buttermilk pancakes. As you can see the 2 pancakes are the size of a dinner plate.

P. had the Vermont Breakfast Sandwich, bacon, egg, cheese on toasted sour dough bread

I had the Grand Slam, 2 scrambled eggs, bacon, home fries, and French toast along with a cup of tea and leftovers to take home. D and P had water.

We were catching up and nearly finished when D noticed that there was a long line of people waiting to be seated. So D invited us back to her house so we could finish conversations.

We had a fun time talking about trips taken, television programs, movies, and reminiscing about the girls, the school years, and the projects, especially the Roman Fair.

Drop by hosts, Bleubeard and Elizabeth's blog to find out what the rest of the T Stands For gang is up to. If you want to play, include in your Tuesday post a beverage or container for a beverage. Don't forget to link your blog to Bleubeard and Elizabeth's page.

  1. Yes, laughing and also crying is good! I remember Mum´s funeral. We did both. It was healing.
As food. I am hungry now (lucky my soup is hot already).
    Happy T-day!

    1. I'm glad D was able to invite us back to her house because an hour just wasn't enough time to spend with each other.

  8. It's great to catch up with old friends like that. A friend I hadn't seen for 20 years surprised me with a visit a few days ago. We've kept in touch by email. But face to face is much more fun.

    Happy T-day! Eileen xx

  11. I found Breakfast at Stephanie's on the internet and think the prices are quite comparable to those here. Pancakes might be a bit more expensive there, but the other two are good.

Loved that you were able to catch up with your friends and read the Roman whine, too. Glad you got the A (grin).

Thanks for taking us to Breakfast at Stephanie's and sharing these meals and drinks with us for T this Tuesday, dear CJ.

    1. The pancakes served at Stephanie's aren't your average 4 in. diameter pancakes.

      I'm glad I got the A, too 😺

    2. I think the pancakes at Riverside Cafe are about 8 inches for 3. They are $4.99. Next time I go to Riverside, I'll order pancakes and bring my tape measure. Seriously. Add two eggs for an extra $1.50.

  14. So awesome that you and your long-time friends can get together still after all these years. I try to meet up with at least one of my old friends every couple of months or so, but it gets so difficult for us both with life's demands right now. The food looks delish - makes me hungry! LOL!

    1. Yeah, sometimes the timing doesn't work. They had wanted to go out during their Christmas break, but I was in PA, but eventually it all evens out.

  15. What delicious looking food! sounds like a grand time...and I did check out the Roman Fair story. Classic poor timing by a new teacher. But you made it through with some (great?) memories! lol! happy T day!

  16. The food at this place looks delicious. It's nice to get together with friends to chat and reminisce. And you were correct about Teddy: he has severe cabin fever at this point, but it will be about a month more before it's warm enough for us to take any long walks anywhere. Happy belated T-Day!

  19. It is good to get together with old friends- I meet up with friends that have known each other since our children were babies. It used to be every month but as we get older it has gone from 4 to 6 to sometimes every 8 weeks. We only meet up for a meal but e look forward to it! Belated Happy T Day! Chrisx
