This idea came from a Facebook meme:
Over 10 days, post your 10 all time favorite films. What movie has really made an impact on you or what films can you watch over and over and never tire of? Post either the movie poster, DVD cover or even a screenshot on your timeline. No need to explain.
Only I had a hard time picking out just 10 movies so my favorites over the next few hundred Saturdays 😸 in semi-alphabetical order my favorite films. What movie has really made an impact on you or what films can you watch over and over and never tire of? Post either the movie poster, DVD cover or even a screenshot on your timeline. No need to explain.
Titanic (1953) Clifton Webb, Barbara Stanwyck, (Baby) Robert Wagner
If you haven't seen this movie, it's available for rent on YouTube.
Oh Wow I didn't know about this Titanic thanks Happy Saturday
ReplyDeleteThere were two dramas made during the 1950s about the Titanic. This one and "A Night To Remember" which was based off the ships logs
DeleteNot exactly historically correct but entertaining. :)
ReplyDeleteThe acting is good. 😺
DeleteAnother film that escaped me! Have a great weekend, Valerie

ReplyDeleteWhat's new was once old. Those the DeCaprio Titanic has a different love story to this one.
DeleteBarbara Stanwyck was a great actress. I don't think I've seen this movie of hers.
ReplyDeleteShe and Webb play well off each other.
DeleteYou don't hear much about this Titanic anymore, do ya?
ReplyDeleteHave a great one.
TCM usually plays this and A Night To Remember around the anniversary
DeleteWhen I red the title Titanic I thought of the Leonardo Dicaprio version. I haven't heard of this one. Is it a similar storyline-meaning the romance because obviously the ship still sinks. Hope it was a nice Thanksgiving weekend. hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteThere are a couple of romances that take place.
DeleteAhhh, the original??
ReplyDeleteIt's not the same story as the DiCaprio. The story follows a family as the tragedy unfolds.
DeleteThere are so _many_ Titanic films. I've not seen this one.
ReplyDeleteGood story and a great cast
DeleteI've never seen this one! Have to look for it! Big Hugs!
ReplyDeleteNot seen this one ...
