How Does Your Garden Grow?

This week Blogger loaded pictures back to front.

Saturday afternoon, there were at least a dozen blue jays camped out in the backyard. When I went to get a photo, they all flew off into the woods. I waited and waited for them to all return, but only a couple of them came back one at a time.

The squirrels were chasing each other.

Blue jay

Incoming! The backyard was busy with birds flying in and out like an airport.

One, lone, oak leaf

The lawn guy came and cleared the last of the leaves

The Japanese maple leaves are all brown, but the tree hasn't shed may of them

Though it was a mild day, it wasn't as warm as the feels like temp. Though I wish it were.

One of the bunnies came out.

The week started cold and wet.

How was your week?

  1. There is still life in your garden. We're in for worse weather this week today, yesterday was cold but sunny. Lets see what happens. Have a great week, Valerie

    1. It's been unusually warm. Not complaining. Tomorrow, we are supposed to be getting a wind and rain storm. At least it's not snow

  2. Interesting that you had a large group of Blue Jays like that. Too bad they were camera shy. I always like seeing the bunny.

  3. Your lawn is still green. LOVELY. And the yard guy did a great job getting rid of the leaves. I still have some swirling around, so I'm not going to rake until I know they are all settled.

LOVED seeing the bunny amid the leaves. So cute.

In response to your comment about the fence, I believe the fence IS on MY property, but when I talked to someone from the city, they told me the ONLY way I would know for sure is if I paid a surveyor. Then it would be my choice as to what I want to do with the fence if it IS on my property. Yes, I planted rose of sharon, but they aren't going to grow enough for another 20 years to hide that hideous fence. I assure you, if the fence IS on my property, I would keep it, but step it down a bit more every few planks until it's no more than a foot high at the street.

    1. Your neighbor sounds like my crappy Leaf Lady neighbor. She put the fence directly on the boundary so when the fence needs adjustment or fixing, they must stand on my property to do it. I thought Rose of Sharon grew and filled in quickly

  4. Cute bunny! I miss cute little critters.....We have a couple of squirrels periodically but there are too many predators around here for the little animals to stick around. :-/

    1. We have predators, too. There has been a bobcat sighting in town, coywolf, and packs of coyote.

  7. I thought it was going to feel warmer today than the numbers said too. I went for a walk and it was a bit chilly. Rain tomorrow. But not snow at least!
