Nan sent me a fun Halloween card. I love how the US Post Office coordinated their cancellation mark with the Jack O'Lantern stamp Nan chose. The cancellation mark is a wall socket for Energy Awareness month, but it looks like a surprised face.
The Worcester Art Museum is now selling masks in the gift shop. Faculty and staff were offered a free mask of their choice from the above images of art that are in the museum.
I chose number 4. The painting is by Vassily Kandinsky and is called Untitled, No. 629. It's one of my favorite paintings in WAM. The images remind me of kites and happy times flying kites as a kid.
Happy mail is always good, love the fun masks, too. Great idea! Valerie
ReplyDeleteI love getting mail that's not a bill or addressed to Resident or Occupant 😺
DeleteLove it.

DeleteHappy mail is ALWAYS good! :D
ReplyDeleteLOVE the happy mail from Nan. That witch is great, but the cat is adorable.
ReplyDeleteYou picked the best of the masks. Lucky you, and I would have chosen Kandinsky, too.
I think I picked the best one, too.
DeleteGood choice - I have always liked Kandinsky's art. that's cool what the post office did.
ReplyDeleteThat was a perfect Halloween cancellation mark
Deletebest witches !!!! the card is cute :) ♥♥☺☺
ReplyDeleteNan is so clever
DeleteThat's a great postmark, and a great mask too. Nice that they gave you each a mask and even better they let you pick. and nice card from Nan too. Hope it was a beautiful day!
ReplyDeleteToday was errands and shopping, but the weather was so gorgeous. This would be great Winter weather
DeleteI'm still using those boring disposable masks, but I love that Kandinsky one!
ReplyDeleteFrom my friend the Infection Control Specialist at Stanford U. Hospital. You don't have to throw them away after 1 use. Hang it in the sun for 24 hours. You can keep doing that wear, sun, wear, sun, until it gets really grubby.
DeleteWow! Thanks! That'll be a big help :)
DeleteI didn't know the USPS had a special cancellation mark for Halloween! That is fantastic. Great art mail to receive. I like the mask you chose.
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't a special cancellation mark for Halloween. It was a cancellation month for Energy Awareness Month, but it looked cool for Halloween, too
