How Does Your Garden Grow - Part 1

I took lots of photos this week. Too many to put in one post. Since I didn't have a post planned for tomorrow, Part 2 it will be.

Fourth of July weekend and lots of rain. Enough rain to fill two 5 gallon buckets

The first morning glories bloomed. One on each side of the front walk

A beautiful sunset

A wild morning glory (aka Devil's weed or Bindweed) trying not to be outdone

Who will get to the tomato first? Himself or Timex

A bee visits the milkweed

Cascading morning glory leaves

A small, black tomato called Midnight Snack

Little green peppers

Cucumber blossoms.

How does your garden grow?

  1. Your garden looks a lot better than mine. I didn't water Friday (my body just shut down and I wasn't even on the computer) and now I have a squash that may not make it. Who knew it would get so hot and dry? Not I.

My pepper plants are finally peeking above the pot they are in, but they are nowhere close to showing any signs of real peppers. I fear Timex will drop by about the time the tomato ripens a bit! You can be proud of your garden, though. You even have beautiful flowers growing and I have NONE.

    1. The beautiful flowers are courtesy of last year's morning glory reseeding itself. I just transplanted some of those seedlings. Oh, and Lowes where I bought drop in a bucket floral displays.

  2. You got more rain than we did. That's a whole lot of rain. And I've seen those black cherry tomatoes before. I got some black ones this year but they are more mottle black than solid black. The rain must have helped your plants to grow. Looking forward to part 2 tomorrow. I was hoping for more sun today, but looks like clouds with more rain coming. :(

    1. Himself thinks the black tomatoes are supposed to turn red. We'll see. The sun is trying to come out. Showers this afternoon and rain tomorrow. Possibility of showers every day this week. 😿

    1. We'll have to wait and see. I have no idea how he will tell when the black tomatoes are ready to pick.
