1. Himself and I called the Eldest to wish her a Happy Birthday. She wasn't home so we left an off-key rendition of the birthday song on her voicemail. She loved it. 😺
2. The Eldest has/had a favorite lovey, a lamb. My dad brought Lambie as a gift to her the day after the Eldest was born when he saw his granddaughter for the first time. The day after the Eldest's birthday, I sent a birthday to text to Lambie.
3. Took a fun trip to an outlet store and found all sorts of treasures
4. Saw a monarch butterfly on the milkweed
5. Found some fun additions for Himself's garden project.
How was your week?
An Excellent Week And I Share With The Eldest - Way Cool - Enjoy Your Weekend

Thanks, Padre
DeleteSounds like a fab week! I bet your eldest got a kick out of hearing you both singing her Happy Birthday, the perfect birthday treat - sending happy birthday wishes her way 😁. I'm always amazed by Monarch butterflies, they are so elegant when they fly. Take care and sending you wishes for a happy Friday and weekend! Hugs, Jo x
ReplyDeleteSuch a surprise to see the monarch butterfly. We really haven't seen butterflies or bees in the yard for several years.
DeleteOutlet shopping, that sounds like a good time out. I'm not a big shopper but every now and again a trip to the outlets is always good. Especially when treasures are to be found. Happy Friday.
ReplyDeleteWe went to Ocean State Job Lots. Not quite the outlets but good stuff cheap as they used to say
DeleteHappy Birthday, Eldest! :D
ReplyDeleteShe's as old as I was when I first had her 😲
DeleteEach week sounds like it has a lot to offer. Outlet stores always have things I never knew I wanted lol
ReplyDeleteAmazing how much my money you can drop at an outlet store
DeleteGreat Birthday wishes - my Nieces (now already 5 and nearly 12) once sang "Happy Birthday" to me. In English.
ReplyDeleteGreat you found something for your Hubby´s project - mine just brings stuff home like chips to fatten me up. What does he think I do so much training?!
Good: Today he brought oranges for the machine I found in the street.
And I had another wonderful street find, post to come.
I look forward to seeing what great treasure you've found.
DeleteI, for the first time ever, saw a monarch in my blog and took a million photos . a few of which i'll put up on my nature blog in a bit. I didn't even know they were in our area this time of year. I've only ever seen them in the fall on a butterfly bush over at Lake Arrowhead. I was thrilled! I had planted a "blood" plant (can't think of the name of it other than it's nickname) and it attrached the monarch. Sounds like you had a good week. I haven't been to an outlet store in wow, way more than five years - i use to love to shop at them.
ReplyDeleteCool about the butterfly. The store we went shopping at is more of a close-outs or fire sale store. Good stuff cheap
Deleterereading my post of course i meant a Monarch in my yard, not my blog, lolo...although now it is on the blog but i should proof read better. To this day I cringe when I think about the medical reports I transcribed and what errors might be in them...(still cringe-ing)...
Deleteoh yeah i like good and cheap stuff too although I hold myself back now - i keep trying to downsize even more.
Sounds like a good week.
ReplyDeleteIt was a good week
DeleteIt does sound a good week.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
