It's been so hot and humid, mushrooms are growing all over the place
Tomatoes, anyone?
The petunias love the heat and humidity
Ink's garden got weeded and mulched
Buds on the morning glory vine. I hope this variety is Heavenly Blue
and that it survives whatever is munching on the leaves.
Samwise in his charging station. Every once in a while, he'll call out, "Ready to work!" A disembodied voice is disconcerting if one is busy in the bathroom.
Watermelon. I hear the men with pushcarts coming down Chelsea St. by Auntie's house in East Boston. At the time, EB was a predominantly Italian neighborhood. The men would be calling, "Eh! Waddamelone!"
How does your garden grow?
I've got mushrooms from the humidity too. And weeds. It's all looking great CJ. And I've never grown watermelon so I'll be curious about that plant. Happy Sunday.
ReplyDeleteHow delicious to grow watermelon. You have a good tomato harvest, too.
ReplyDeleteWell we got a half an inch of rain yesterday in like 2 minutes.. what a down pour.. but my grass/weeds will love it. We've had these crazy pop up storms that dissipate as fast as they build up and they don't move or drift... It took us two days for one to build up on top of us so we could get rain. My petunias always do well for me but not this year... Any watermelon on the vine yet? Your garden is doing wonderful!! Hugs! deb
ReplyDeleteLOL We have a Bluetooth speaker that says, "I'm on and ready." in the most drippingly 'sexy' female voice .......at first it's funny but it gets old realllllly fast!
ReplyDeleteI love the nostalgic watermelon memory too "Eh! Waddamelone!" is just perfect.
ReplyDeleteHappy gardening
